  1. +1 for data merge. I need to this to create download cards with unique codes for vinyl album releases. We need to be able to import & dynamically link csv/excel files. Thank you for considering Otherwise, congrats on releasing Affinity Publisher !
  2. Hi, I'm on Sierra 10.12.6 and I'm unable to export a PDF in the same folder twice. When I try to export in the folder it asks to "confirm" access to export multiple files. At first I thought I must have a wrong export setting (or that I somehow messed up the folder permissions). After confirming it did export the PDF in a single file. However, I corrected something and was unable to export it again. The "confirm" button in the access dialogue window was greyed-out. So I exported the file on my desktop instead. When I first tried to re-export the PDF, it didn't ask to overwrite the previous file, so maybe there is something there. I have a few request : -Would it be possible to make it so the picture frame does not move the image that's inside it when I resize the picture frame itself ? If it is possible, how do I do this ? -Would it be possible to add vertical typing ? I ask this to be able to type in Japanese, from top to bottom, and right to left (one of the way to write in Japanese). If not, what is the way around ? thank you :) And congrats on all the work you do :) I'm very happy to see Affinity Publisher becoming a reality.
  3. How about selecting a colour average (more than 1 pixel wide) ? Is it possible to do this ? thanks.
  4. +1 Definitely agreed. A serious printing interface is a must. But maybe it already is on the roadmap ? And not just for AF Designer, but AF Photo also needs it. And of course for Publisher too. :)
  5. For printing applications, I would not use AP just yet. It also lacks a lot of features, functions & filters that Ps has. But the thing is that they want to get there. And I support them. Ps is not "overkill" or bloated ; Ps is the master software for professionals. So i'm happy that they are aiming for that too with AP ! :)
  6. Hello, I was wondering if there already was a way to do an "average" with the colour picker ? That is, make it gauge the colour average from a certain amount of pixels, instead of only one. If not, it would be important to add at some point. Thanks !
  7. Mike: I think you have to type it in (change px for cm) I would like to add : missing DPI resize function. Or please tell us where it is ? Nearest Neighbour resample does not produce good results for me so far. So please consider changing the default for Bilinear.
  8. Please add support for Nikon D3300 at some point. Thank you :)
  9. I think having a UI that is too far away from Ps might make it harder for people to move-on to AF Photo. So far I like the current UI, while I'm not used to it completely yet (and neither in Designer), I feel that it has it's own style while not straying too far from the known logics.
  10. I would like to say my first day with Affinity Photo beta went great and I did not encounter any crash. It also worked very well with my old Wacom tablet. It will take time before it can reach all or the majority - of Ps features, but I'm in and I'm happy you guys are making this software (and that it supports printing in a serious way !!) We will all win in the end !
  11. I work in the press-press and I'm not sure what you mean about changing the term. DPI is very important for printing. Also I am not sure what you mean when you say it has no effect on image resolution itself. As far as I can tell, it has a big effect on image quality and size. When referring to a screen, of course, it is PPI, not DPI... I would like to add that I cannot find the DPI (or PPI..) setting in Document -> Resize Document window. Is it just that it's somewhere else ? If not it would be very important to add it ! One more thing. I would vote for making "bilinear" the default rescaling option. Thank you for the excellent software, and I'm enjoying the beta.
