I used the "Save as" to save the file to my desktop. I then copied the resulting desktop file to my external portable hard drive which has all the original project documents. This works fine I'm pleased to say. Previous versions when trying to save the file the 'Fail to save document" came up and resulted in it being closed down as reported above. When opening the recovery file, I always had ether missing parts of any work I had done or, the shapes were missing nodes. Hope this helps!

Just opened my drawn files which were saved out as .png's and played around with duplicating layers and applying levels to add the sense of distance in each finished drawn image. All layers were merged together and each file was exported out as a png file using Lanczos 3 separable. I had two individual files open. Upon closing each exported file I proceeded to quit the application. This once again resulted in the program hanging with the old spinning beach ball and had to be force quit. I repeated the whole thing in the MAS 1.4.1 version and all worked fine.
-
Yes it works fine. It may be that the files I was working with were originally created using the MAS 1.4.1 version. These files are large 300 dpi compositions with many layers including various adjustments etc. I will try again to work with the files and report back should there be any further observations.

Experiencing hang ups in Photo 1.3.5.16 File size is large with many layers (533MB). On applying adjustments e.g. levels,HSL etc, and trying to merge the app hangs for quite a while. One crash experienced. Saving file can also hang and take a few minutes to respond. I found similar issues a couple of days ago on Beta version 1.3.5.14 where the application would more times than not completely hang up. This was solved and all worked fine in 1.3.5.15. OSX Yosemite 3.4 Ghz i7 Intel chip 8 GB memory AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048MB

Let me turn off canvas rotation?
GreyGhost replied to manu schwendener's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on macOS threads
Personally, I have say a BIG THANK YOU for the ability to rotate the canvas. This is something I requested as a feature earlier and find this an absolute essential function for my illustration and compositing work flow. Well done the team loving the improvements. -
I reported a similar array of experiences when trying to open the saved psd file from Affinity Photo in Manga Studio,Sketchbook Pro and Corel Painter 2015. Manga would crash on trying to open the file. Sketchbook wouldn't recognise it at all and Painter came up with "This is not in Adobe Photoshop file format". Only when I opened the AP psd file in Photoshop CS6 and Photoline 19.1 which they did perfectly, and saved the file out as a psd file from both programs would they be successfully recognised and opened in all three applications. Clearly there is something in the code which is not recognised as a Photoshop file in other applications.
