I have just found Hnet.com which is a free online pdf toJpeg converter and will convert to 300dpi so that will solve the problem for now.  I would far rather do it in Affinity though

Maybe Inkscape is a better and free alternative, you can open a PDF and convert it to curves. You can then copy&paste these to Affinity and continue editing.

That's not  the vector are pixelated, that's by design APhoto will show pixels, even when it's vector objects since the apps tend more to working and exporting to pixels images than vectors (in AD, you need to switch to "pixel mode view" to check how it'll look when exported as pixels: JPG, PNG...) but it's the standard view in APhoto.

I'm not so sure about that. If I copy a simple vector-rectangle everything is fine and not pixelated. In this case strange things happen.
Maybe there are problems with 'styles' or 'fx' I used.

I'm not sure to understand what you mean by import.

Do you mean like a sort of library? If that's the case, no, you cannot.

The only way for now, to my knowledge at least, is by loading them.

Thanks, I'd like to have some kind of live preview. Now I have load one after the other to see which one fits best. Some kind of Import would have been cool or maybe a macro or... ☺

  4. Mad photo bash that turned into an 80's rock album cover or something. Becoming happy painting in Affinity Photo.

What was the original size of the picture while you were 'painting'? (noob question :)
