So, expanding stroke is one of the most common things I do. I use shapes to create negative space shapes constantly. I'd love any quick access. #1. A keyboard shortcut. #2. Right clicking should have a context option to expand. Thanks so much!

Hola! I really would love an easy way to just make simple grids. Thinking about, the option I feel like works the best in Affinity is just having a Grid Shape. You could easily make this a tool, but I don't see that as necessary. Having a nice grid shape that you can define columns would be awesome. Spacing doesn't even seem necessary, you can just change your stroke and convert later. Dunno, just a thought.
