So been plowing through AD/AP coming from Xara. I had a couple posts regarding brushes, smoothing (can't wait to see this in 1.6), etc... Most of the suggestions, my searching and help files point me to the OpenGL settings under Preferences. Unfortunately I don't have these options. I'm running the latest Windows version of AD/AP, with: Windows 10 Pro X64 - 10.0.14393 AMD A10-5800K GeForce GTX 1050 16 GB memory So are these settings only applicable to the MAC version? I've done many OpenGL test/benchmarks and all is good, and I have the latest Nvidia drivers. I've also seen some posts in relation to AMD cpus and maybe some limitations, etc...is this true? One reason I'm asking is that I may be building a new rig in the next week or so and I'm leaning towards another AMD CPU (FX-8370) and may switch to Intel if there are issues/limitations with Affinity products. Thanks.

+1 on this as I used this feature extensively in Xara since i do a lot of sports logos, etc...

vik144, Thanks I have the latest drivers. The strange thing is I saw your reference to "Use OpenGL". I also searched for it in the help and saw it. However, I don't have any opengl settings in any preferences settings.

Hmm, very strange I knew something was not correct. Running windows 10, on ssd drive, 16 GB of memory, AMD A10-5800K, latest drivers, etc... Everything I draw in AD is very jaggy... Xara, CorelDraw, Adobe Products, do not have this issue. I'm using a logitech mouse (standard Windows Drivers). I have Photo same thing.

I have the latest version of AD and I'm coming from Xara. I've searched here, and watched numerous videos, just can't seem to get a handle on the line and brush tools in this program. I've seen many requests here to use videos to help explain my story. Here is a video on how to do it in Xara easy peasy. Here is a AD video on me trying to do line smoothing. Here is a AD Video on me trying to use vector brushes I've seen some posts saying that smoothing is really not good yet. So how is everyone dealing with this issue. The vector brush issues confuses the hell out of me since any settings I use does not seem to work. I've tried every type of controller setting and the line just appears the same maybe somewhat thicker. I did experiment with Profiles and was able to tweak the line a little, but all of this seems like a lot of work compared to Xara. Any help with getting brushes to work would be helpful. Thanks.

I'm a long time (90's) Xara user who just purchased AD. I like it so far but as one might assume I'm on the proverbial knowledge quest to get through the learning curve. One item I noticed about the forums is that Affinity Products are not broken down into individual sub forums. For a new user this makes locating the correct information more difficult. Since posts from all the products are lumped together, has any thoughts been given to more organization in the forums (separate AP, AD sub-forums etc...)?
