  1. I think it's definitely something along the lines of editing in Photo and resizing/cropping the image, I've found a recipe that can get an image in a similar state which involves resizing it to a significantly smaller size after inserting it into the publisher document. Does that ring any bells?
  2. Hi @GrahamMYC, So as suspected I think what you did in Photo has been the cause here. Basically, one of the images has gotten confused about it's size, the size it reports in resource manager is correct but the "backing data" is reporting a different size which is causing the crash to happen. There will be a recipe here to get an image in this state and it would be great to nail it down, I'll be poking it a bit myself. Can you give me a bit more information possible on the following quote? Can you me a bit more specific with any of the exact steps you took here? Did you alter the image size in any way? Either way, if you open this file and go to Document > Resource Manager, make the embedded images linked and then embed them again it will fix the issue in the file and should no longer crash when viewing the page. Thanks
  3. I can reproduce it with the document with embedded images. The process you took could be use could be the reason, I'll look into it a bit further and get it logged! Thanks for reporting it
  4. I could have sworn this worked at some point, but after poking it a bit I don't think it's ever worked for facing pages, seems to work fine for non facing page documents however. Edit: It also only effects Windows Will get this logged, thanks
  5. Hi Graham, Interesting, I can't reproduce that crash with your file here. Can you do a couple of things for me, navigate to %AppData%\Roaming\Affinity\Publisher\1.0 (Beta)\CrashReports\reports and attach the most recent .dmp files in this folder. Can you also, with the document open, go do Document > Resource Manager, embed the resources and then re attach the file? I wonder if the crash is related to the linked images on page 3 that I don't have access to. Thanks
  6. Hi thomaso, I noticed the preview issue and logged it late last week, it does indeed seem to happen a bit more with copy and pasting. So the developers are looking into this area. The blurry image I've seen once or twice, and it's never the same when I reload the file. A blurry image like that is worrying as it can mean the app is struggling to load in the linked resource, but I don't think it's lost it. Do you get the same blurry images when you reload the file or is it different?
  7. Hi Chrisw5, If we the font in the PDF incorrectly has a comma in the name I think by ignoring this we do what I would expect when importing the PDF. If the font used to create the PDF is slightly different than the one we end up substituting with then I could see maybe some spacing issues occurring. If you can attach the problematic PDF I can take a bit of a further look. You can upload it here if you want to keep it private When you get the PDF export with more red on the images, what are the export settings you are using? I can see it is exported with 1.7 compatibility, did you change anything else? I can't reproduce getting a red export like you've attached so far Thanks
  8. Have you tried this on the latest build? I can't replicate any crashes, and the file seems to import fairly well for me (better on Windows due to the font substitutions). I did notice an issue on Mac when examining the tables that are imported however, which I've logged.
  9. Thanks for the additional info, glad you got it sent off. I was hoping the new build would have this issue resolved as part of another fix but it doesn't seem to be the case so I have logged it for our developers to look into further.
  10. John T, can you reproduce it on a new document? I've just started a new document and it seems to be performing as I would expect. Any chance you can attach a video demonstrating the issue?
  11. I'm afraid nothing of use, the developers have confirmed the issue but I can't say when exactly it will be resolved.
  12. Thanks, I can reproduce this crash with that file on Windows. I haven't had chance to look into what might the cause but I've logged it for the developers to look at
  13. Yeah as emmrecs01 pointed out, that here link is a dropbox link that only staff are able to access. The file will only be used for internal testing purposes.
  14. From my tests X-1a will auto convert, however it does look like certain versions (1.7 etc) where we provide the option to convert or not in the More... menu aren't correctly converting even with "Convert image colour spaces" checked. I'll get this looked into.
  15. Can you upload it here? I'll see if I can reproduce it Thanks
  16. Thanks for reporting this, I've reproduced it and logged it.
  17. Hi SHRK, The file was crashing due to being saved with an old bug in it which is now fixed. A developer has kindly fixed the file and I've sent it you in a PM. Thanks
  18. Hi @grunix, Is it possible for you to embed all images in your file and upload your file here so I can see if this is reproducible. Thanks
  19. Hi clyall90, Does this happen on a new file or only printing the file you have open in the video file? Thanks
  20. Thanks for providing the file, I've logged it for the developers. Can you remember the last few steps you were taking before the last save?
  21. With clip to canvas off I can't reproduce that flickering here Jeremy, but it does look wrong, we do clip horizontally to prevent overlapping with multiple pages, but it shouldn't flicker like it does in your video. Does it happen for you on a new document?
