I've reproduced the crash after sourcing that font and exporting the attached PDF. It's now logged with us.
Thanks for the report

I'm afraid not, but if all the linked files are in the same folder, you can rename the folder and that will break the link to all 20 files
-
Yes or move it to another place, I should have clarified that!

Is there any way to provide/enable more detailed logging?
The crash report is the best we easily have access to, and that seems to be pointing towards an issue loading a linked resource.
I was wondering if removing any of the linked documents before opening (so they then appear as missing, and can be re linked) would fix the issue on your side since I'm not getting any issues opening the files you attached.
Nested linked documents should be fine, we have had a few issues in the past that have been hard to replicate that are similar to this, when we are sent the files to investigate we can't reproduce the crashes happening. Previously breaking and restoring the links has fixed those few issues for customers

Thanks, I've reproduced and logged this. If you flip the PDF Passthrough status between interpret/passthrough it should fix it for you in the meantime

Hi @Vaclav Slovacek,
The afpackage and afdesign files inside are all opening fine for me, can I double check it's those files that crash on open for you? One of the afdesign files has a linked resource I am missing so I'm wondering if that is part of the reason I might be able to reproduce it.
Can you remove the afdesign files from the package temporarily and see if that opens for you?

Hi @Vaclav Slovacek,
Are you able to attach a file so we can look at this further? You can use this link to keep it private
Thanks

Thanks for the report, I've logged this

Thanks @nwhit,
This is now all reproduced and logged with us, thanks again for the well reported bug
-
That makes sense as to why I was struggling to reproduce it, I didn't realise the afphoto files were referencing a PDF I didn't have access to.
I've re-created a similar scenario however and although when I open the afphoto files in Publisher it's incorrectly stating that Spread 1 is in view when it isn't (which would lead me to think it could export incorrectly, like you are experiencing) but it actually still exports correctly. This is still a bug though so I'll get a couple of issues raised relating to this so the developers can look into it further.
If you can upload the PDF used in your afphoto files that could be helpful, but glad you've got a bit of a workaround for now

It is odd, I've exported from 1.10.5 and it's fine, I've attached my PDF. You definitely have 3 separate afphoto files inserted in resource manager and showing in the layers tab?
If you just delete all 3 and re insert them it also exports them incorrectly?
-
I exported that package in current retail and 1.10.1.1142 for PDF (export) and PDF (print) and the correct pages are shown on the afphoto files. Are you using any different export preset? It could be worth re-inserting the afphoto files to see if that helps (I had to update them via resource manager when loading the package)

Hi @Dennison,
Would it be possible for you to record a video of this issue, ideally with the mac on screen keyboard visible? If you could then try use the physical keyboard and the on screen keyboard and see if the behavior is the same it would be useful.
Thanks
-
Hi @Dennison,
It looks like you have the whole text frame selected, so I would expect it to delete the entire frame. If you place the text caret inside I assume only one character is deleted?
-
Thanks for supplying the font.
We've taken a look into this and believe we are interpreting the font according to spec, but I've logged a feature request for us to add something similar to InDesigns World Ready Composer to help with this.

I've tried to reproduce this on multiple macs but had no luck i'm afraid.
Can you try clearing the user data by running the app up with CTRL held down and seeing if this helps? It will clear any customizations when you do this so if you'd prefer to back them up you can use this post to find where the data is stored and back them up

Thanks, I've got that file and reproduced the crash. I've logged it with the developers and will see if I can find a way to workaround it for now
-
Thanks @tonywaghorn but I can't see any files there, I've generated a new link. Try this link instead and let me know when it's uploaded
-
Unfortunately not, but I've given the issue linked to this thread a bump.
-
Can you upload the file to the above link so I can take a look?
