  3. Hi Jokinb, This should work as you expect if you leave the file open. If you close the file we aren't actively monitoring it anymore, so can't auto update it. It should show as modified when you next enter the resource manager as it seems to have done, for you to update it manually.
  4. Hi @ConnectCreative, It depends on what you are linking at the moment, image file types shouldn't really cause much of an increase in filesize, but linking afphoto/afpub/afdesign/pdf/eps files will still cause file size increases. We are looking to improve this.
  5. This is related to the background grey level that you have set, the pages aren't disappearing as such the outline is just kind of merged with the pasteboard. I'm not sure it's outlining them when selecting content on the facing pages and not the singular page though, and I think we can do better here if the UI is set out how you have it, so I'll get this logged.   9. @sitimms The next time it crashes can you navigate to %AppData%\Affinity\Publisher\1.0 (Beta)\CrashReports\reports and attach the lastest crash report, might help me see what happened. Thanks
  10. If it happens on a new blank document then it's not likely document related. I'll see if we can get anything from the crash reports, I assume you have no trouble printing from any other apps?
  11. That would figure if this was on a loaded file, but at the moment it seems to be failing to write a new document to file. My suspicions are that we are able to open the file for writing when we save, but then something is preventing us from actually writing to it (we've seen this before with Windows Defender).
  12. Were you able to save to My Documents? Do you have any other anti virus programs that you can temporarily disable?

  14. If it happens more often on a specific file can you attach it here? Might help reproduce it.

Hi jrkay, So the star shape in your file has no filter effects applied, that is why you can't paste onto the rectangle above it with Paste FX (using the shortcut or otherwise) You can copy the fill/stroke with "Paste Style", which is CTRL+SHIFT+V If you add some filter effects to the object you should see Paste FX working also
  16. @jkmorticia - The blurry images might be missing images, do you get any warnings when opening up the document? It might be worth identifying the fuzzy ones and checking in Resource Manager that they are linked correctly, or simply re-linking them. Also when do you get the crash? @sitimms - The new download should be updating not repairing, as the crash reports you've linked are from the .384 build. If possible I would suggest ensuring you have fully uninstalled the program, then install the latest version (1.7.1.399). Once installed hold CTRL whilst launching the app to ensure it is reset. If it still crashes here please navigate to the same folder and attach that crash report. @DarkClown - I'll look into that report, what were you doing when it crashed and that report was generated?

  18. So I couldn't reproduce this but a colleague could, then I installed all the font supplied with your file and could begin to reproduce it, so it seems to be down to the fonts (or I was very unlucky before when trying to reproduce it). We've logged this, thanks for reporting it!
  19. Can both of you attach the reports folder here "%AppData%\Roaming\Affinity\Publisher\1.0 (Beta)\CrashReports" and there might be some info on why these crashes are happening.
  20. Do you have Windows Defender enabled, and if so can you disable it and try again? If that fails, can you try export to "My Documents", as there is a chance if something is preventing us from writing the file that this location is whitelisted.
  21. Ok, I'm not sure what we can do here to save the document you had open without exporting it to PDF and re-importing. If the document has already been closed and the work lost (if so, apologies for the inconvenience!) can I ask you to close the app and hold CTRL whilst launching it, ticking all the boxes, this will perform a reset. If after doing this you still get issues saving a new document let me know.
  22. Can you go to Edit > Preferences > Performance and set the File Recovery Interval to the maximum number (2700). Then, if you can also press the Windows key+R and type in %temp%, which will load your temporary files in Windows, and let me know the path that is in the address bar if possible. Thanks
  23. There is an issue we are aware of where replacing via the prompt on file load can sometimes fail to replace the images. I'd advise replacing via the resource manager and it should remove any of the fuzzy images from your document
