You have 2 sections in that document, the second set to start renumbering on Page 2, is that maybe the issue in the non cut down version? If you set Section 2 to continue page numbering it should behave as expected in that test file I see pag # / 2 on both Master Pages so not sure if I am missing something here.

Thanks, I can reproduce it with the file with the embedded images in. It's struggling to embed the ICC profile on the Weapon Master png, this is the sRGB IEC61966-2-1 black scaled profile. You can rasterise or change the profile on this image to export it for now If you choose to convert it to CMYK on export it should also export fine. I've passed this onto the devs, as we made a couple of changes in this area which I think has exposed this error.

Hi, I've logged an issue looking into this to do with left/right side pages not re assigning correctly but I'm not sure if that's exactly what you are seeing as I can still edit the text. Can you post a short video demonstrating the issue? It might also be useful to see the file you are working from if you could upload that here Thanks

It's exporting fine for me to most default profiles here. Can you re-upload it but with the images embedded? What PDF preset are you exporting to?

Thanks for passing the file, it does the same here and I've passed it on. Exporting as template also crashes for me but i'm glad that got a file out and has given you something to work from. We'll look into the file, I might be back in touch to ask about any steps you made before this happened

It will be hard to pin this down unless we can reproduce what causes it to happen. Can you navigate to %AppData%\Affinity\Publisher and zip up and attach the 1.0 folder, there could be some info in the crash report folder that helps.

You don't need to close and re-open Publisher, just add a new category and switch back and it will have refreshed. I'll log this though, it should be updating, we've had a similar thing before with the categories not updating until refreshed

Can you upload the document? Does it just freeze when you try pan around the document?

Hi, can you reproduce this from scratch at all? It would be useful if you could send the document here How did these images get into the document, was it from idml import?

As Bruce stated the file is 0kb but that could have been a failed upload. either way that shouldn't crash but I believe the 0kb file opening crash should be fixed in the latest beta.

Hi @RainerH, Do you still get this in the latest 1.8.2 release? We had an issue with scrolling in certain circumstances that got stuck fixed for that build

The autosaves were not functioning correctly in certain circumstances, the beta has a fix for this and you should now hopefully see the correct recovery behavior if this happens again. Is this file still crashing on open for you in the latest beta? If so can you upload it here and I'll take a look Thanks

It depends on the exact cause of it, if the issue is the same as pmwjournals then that should be fixed in 1.8.2 which is now the latest release version. Are you having issues with the file still in that version?

@planetbuck Can you still reproduce that crashing issue when importing text?
