  1. I can reproduce this on Mac but not Windows, which may very well be because they write different information to the clipboard when you just copy the image data from whatever you are viewing the image in.

It's intriguing this doesn't happen on all pictures, do you have 2 images that if you copy/paste and get the differing behavior?

If an image is drag and dropped or file > placed it should always have the relevant information, but if there is only image data on the clipboard (like when you copy from a web browser) and you paste that it will just name it Image.tif

I guess if it can't be replicated, the problem can't be fixed.

This is indeed the case, although it's not the first time I've seen images render like this. Carls observation about the colour mode fixing it is interesting, but I've poked around this area and not been able to reproduce anything at all. If you see it again let us know.

I'm guessing that when I export to PDF (Press Ready) in APub, I can choose CMYK and select Covert Image Color Spaces.

    You can indeed do this

  3. Hi @Andrea Borsic,

Do you find this happens with only the one document you are working on, or do you get the same in a new document? If it's the same document attaching it here could be helpful, I can have a go at reproducing it.

Could you navigate to %AppData%\Affinity\Publisher and attach the 1.0 folder here, it will have settings/crash reports which might help us see what's happening

    Thanks!

The last editing actions didn't do any changes to imagesand the images themselves didn't change too, so I am not sure if the problem is related to images.

You can do the same trick as last time, rename the folder and see if that allows the file to open, if it does then it will be a similar thing (and re-linking may resolve it).

I'm not sure what seemed to stop this happening last time when you rebooted the PC. I'm aware it's frustrating but it's not a common issue, so we will need to try get to the bottom of what's happened.

If you have a machine that it opens on, and no resources are missing, if you embed all the resources and then open the resulting file does that work?

  5. Thanks, I can reproduce it copy/pasting from that site in Firefox, it seems fine in other browsers (browsers will write different info to the clipboard which is probably why).

I will get this logged and see what we can do our end, but for now I'd advise just saving pictures locally and inserting them.

You shouldn't see linked resource modification messages when pasting from a browser, we will always embed from the clipboard (as obviously linking to a temp location would cause issues). I haven't seen this but will poke around.

EDIT: I was wrong in OP. Even the PDF is wrong. Maybe had tomatoes on my eyes on Friday.

That's good, as I don't currently have access to a printer so makes it easier for me to check!

I'm looking at page 2, i've sourced the first font used but can you provide me the Milo OT font used in the bit you've screenshot. It seems to look fine with the fonts i'm subbing it with
