  1. I can reproduce this on Mac but not Windows, which may very well be because they write different information to the clipboard when you just copy the image data from whatever you are viewing the image in. It's intriguing this doesn't happen on all pictures, do you have 2 images that if you copy/paste and get the differing behavior? If an image is drag and dropped or file > placed it should always have the relevant information, but if there is only image data on the clipboard (like when you copy from a web browser) and you paste that it will just name it Image.tif
  2. Do you have it set to search inside embedded documents? The missing font is likely in there
  3. Thanks @thomaso, Good investigative work! I didn't think linked frames would play a part in it, but I can reproduce the issue following that recipe. I've logged this now
  4. This is indeed the case, although it's not the first time I've seen images render like this. Carls observation about the colour mode fixing it is interesting, but I've poked around this area and not been able to reproduce anything at all. If you see it again let us know. You can indeed do this
  5. I can definitely see what you mean in that file, but I'm struggling to reproduce this from scratch, I'm curious if you create a new document and perform the steps in your OP if you get the same behavior every time?
  6. Hi @Andrea Borsic, Do you find this happens with only the one document you are working on, or do you get the same in a new document? If it's the same document attaching it here could be helpful, I can have a go at reproducing it. Could you navigate to %AppData%\Affinity\Publisher and attach the 1.0 folder here, it will have settings/crash reports which might help us see what's happening Thanks!
  7. Thanks thomaso, took a bit of time but reproduced it. Didn't seem consistent for me, but I found if I couldn't reproduce it by flipping I could just move the node around a lot and that would trigger it, it seems to go pop when calculating how the text should be wrapping. I've passed this on
  8. Hi @Bob Grahame, Are the images embedded in the document? If so can you upload them here? Thanks
  9. You can do the same trick as last time, rename the folder and see if that allows the file to open, if it does then it will be a similar thing (and re-linking may resolve it). I'm not sure what seemed to stop this happening last time when you rebooted the PC. I'm aware it's frustrating but it's not a common issue, so we will need to try get to the bottom of what's happened. If you have a machine that it opens on, and no resources are missing, if you embed all the resources and then open the resulting file does that work?
  10. It should hopefully have been fixed in your build, but if you do get it again let us know. I would advise keeping backups to be safe (which is good practice anyway) but it sounds like you are one step ahead!
  11. Hi, I've just created a small pdf from word and the text imported as editable text, could you attach the original PDF (or create a new test one) and I can take a look? Glad you found a workaround though!
  12. Thanks @A_B_C, I've passed this on
  13. How large and image heavy is the document you are working on?
  14. Hi @Vosje, We have had some issues in the past in this area but it should be resolved now. Can you upload the file here and I'll take a look, you might also find if you break the link to the linked afphoto file it then opens and you can re link it, is that the case?
  15. Thanks, I can reproduce it copy/pasting from that site in Firefox, it seems fine in other browsers (browsers will write different info to the clipboard which is probably why). I will get this logged and see what we can do our end, but for now I'd advise just saving pictures locally and inserting them. You shouldn't see linked resource modification messages when pasting from a browser, we will always embed from the clipboard (as obviously linking to a temp location would cause issues). I haven't seen this but will poke around.
  16. That's good, as I don't currently have access to a printer so makes it easier for me to check! I'm looking at page 2, i've sourced the first font used but can you provide me the Milo OT font used in the bit you've screenshot. It seems to look fine with the fonts i'm subbing it with
  17. What application are you pasting from, how are you pasting (CTRL+V?), and are you just switching pages double clicking on them in the pages studio? I'm still struggling to see this unfortunately, if I switch to page 2 and paste an image I've copied from Chrome (for example) it appears on that page.
  18. Can you attach the document you were printing from?
  19. This is intentional, you have converted it away from an Image object and to a Curve one, so it is no longer a resource inside the document.
  20. Ah my bad I missed those, I see what you mean. If you zoom out and select them you can see why, they have been pasted on the page below the current one, so the one on page 2 is on page 3 and that's why it isn't displaying. I still can't reproduce this happening however, it may be to do with how you are pasting them, a video may indeed be helpful if you can capture this happening
  21. Hmm, that pixel layer on page 1 appears fine on page 2/3 when I paste it. Do you find with that file it's not appearing? Any chance of a short video demonstrating it to check we aren't missing anything?
  22. Is it possible for you to upload the file you are working from here? Thanks
