We are aware some files are crashing open, it's logged with us.
Thanks for the reports

It seems specific to some files, we are investigating - thanks for the reports.
I'd revert to the previous beta here if you are affected by this
-
We still struggled to see this consistently internally, but there's a potential fix in the latest beta we have just released. I'd appreciate if anyone who was encountering this issue could check if they still see poor quality samples in this beta
Thanks

I've reproduced this and logged it, it does seem to be down to the filename and is Windows specific.
Thanks for the report.

Duplicating the images seems to be restricted to the file type. JPG are not duplicated, but TIFF are. Other file types I did not test.
I'm struggling to reproduce this, I've tried a few different ways of duplicating the images. If they are listed as one expandable entry in resource manager they should export as one image and be used multiple times so it's definitely a bug if that's not happened, can you reproduce this?
-
@dozer77 I have a test file with many linked PDF's that is taking up a lot of memory when resource manager is open and eventually writing to my disk and using most of that up, I'll get this logged.

I've reproduced the poor quality test style samples on a certain machine, but haven't narrowed down why I can see it on that machine but not another, either way it's now logged with us for some further investigation.
As Walt states @design punch I think you may be seeing something else, on the above machine the text looks fine in document for me even when it was appearing blurred in the text style manager. Are your performance settings the same between the versions?

I'm finding this behavior the same when comparing 1.9.2 to the current beta, if I have the move tool selected and click multiple times it selects the group inside the curve, and then multiple clicks selected the objects within this group
If I use the node tool then its just a few clicks to select the objects inside the group.
Can you upload a video demonstrating the issue?

Hi @sfriedberg,
Do you find this happens when the text styles are using the Arial font? What display resolution and DPI are you using?
-
Hi @prophet
I can reproduce the issue with updated resources not being correctly reflected, and have logged this, as well as another preflight issue I noticed when looking into this.
I'm struggling to reproduce the export issue you are experiencing, do you mind re-recording the issue with the supplied files, so I can just check if I missed a step? I assume you left the export settings at default (press ready)?
Apologies for the delay in our reply and thanks for the example files

I'm not able to reproduce this either, as mentioned above are you able to provide a crash report? It might shed on some light on what's happening
Thanks
-
I suspect this is due to what we are able to put on the clipboard, unless I've missed a trick Excel is giving me an error when I try copy cells from different rows/columns (like the red cells in the above example).
I can get this logged as an improvement however and see if we can do a bit better
-
Hi, unfortunately it's in the same state as before, the report is logged with us. I will give it another nudge
-
Hi @Andrew Wood,
I've split your post into a new thread and moved it into the appropriate forum.
Are you able to attach any crash reports? It might shed some light on the crashes you are having

Ah thanks @max1josef,
I was deleting all of the text during step 4, which was deleting the anchor as I would expect. If I just append onto the current text and update the ToC the old anchor still exists, which is indeed a bug.
I'll get this recipe passed on!

Hi @Gigatronix Pete,
Off the top of my head i don't think anything changed pdf encryption wise in that version. There are still some encryption methods we don't support.
If you want to upload the pdf here I can take a look
-
I've attached the file I made after I overrode the master page items and re-aligned the frame, it seems to be import better.
-
Hi @max1josef,
As you've noted there's definitely some old pdf anchors that have been created that don't seem to have been removed/updated when you updated the ToC.
If you go to View > Studio > Anchors you can see a lot of the old entries that weren't cleared. I cleared these all up and then re-generated the ToC, all the pdf bookmarks (that will show in the Anchor panel) were generated correctly and it seems to be working as expected when exported.
I'm struggling to reproduce getting a file into this way from scratch though, when I change a headings text and update the Table of Contents the bookmarks seems to update and not leave old the ones behind
-
Thanks for the file.
This is happening because the master page has been overridden and moved into a different position, I find if i override the master page in InDesign and move the grey rectangle back on top it then imports correctly.
I've logged it so we can try handle this situation a bit better when importing
-
It's been looked at by development, there is the potential of a fix in the next beta for this but it will be subject to testing.
-
The issue linked to this thread was fixed, and I've checked and it seems fine on my end but it may be something unique to your set up.
Is it only with Unsplash this happens?
-
Hi @Hadriscus,
I have an earlier version of your file from the issue you had in 1.9.1, I've resized a few inline tables on this file and not had a crash, could you let me know if it happens on any in line table for you, and if not let me know which pages I should look at to try reproduce this
It could also be worth uploading the latest version of your file here.
Thanks

Thanks for the feedback @ashf,
We've reproduced this and have logged it.
