We'll normally have a patch out for 1.10 and then (assuming this gets fixed in the patch) it would be safe to upgrade, so I'd keep an eye on the forums for any patches or betas

Thanks for that, I can reproduce it and it's logged with us, unfortunately I can't really think of a workaround besides downgrading for the time being

That sounds like it failed to save, were you able to reproduce it from scratch? If not and it's only reproducible with the file from the earlier version can you upload that file and possibly a video or the steps you take that causes the save error to appear?
-
@sandr Is that on an existing document? If you create a new document and insert the same jpeg and convert it do you see the same error?
If it's reproducible when opening the same document can you possible upload a video demonstrating it from when you open the app? Then if you could upload the document here hopefully I'll be able to reproduce it

It does, or it lines up with a few other reports that I am seeing. I've tried those sort of steps and am struggling to see it still. Are you saving to a local drive?

Thanks, do you mind uploading some of the files you have these issues with (obviously from the last chance you got to save them) here and I'll try reproduce it with those files, I'm not having much luck trying to reproduce it from scratch when doing some of the actions described above.
Are you saving the file to a local drive?

Hi,
Could both of you let me know what steps you were taking before this happened? I'm trying to reproduce this error so we can get it logged.
Thanks
-
Hi @Camminoc
Is it possible for you to provide some more information on what steps you were taking before this happened? Are you finding it happens even if you create a new document and just save it?
-
Did it crash when failing to open? If so can you navigate to %AppData%\Affinity\Publisher and upload the 1.0 folder here? It will contain some information that may shed some light on what happened, glad it's working now though.

Hi @M.R. Mackenzie,
I'm not aware of any reason it should look different after upgrading so I've logged this for some further investigation, I'll let you know when I have some more information (be it a new bug, or potentially that we fixed a bug and it now looks "correct")
Thanks for the report

As well as answering the above can you upload the problematic document here and we'll take a look
Thanks

Hi @Louisk
Could you clarify for me what you mean by "Translating picture frames", I'll have a look and see if i can reproduce this error.
Thanks

If you purchased from the Affinity Store and restart the application you should start seeing the update prompts

Hey @AlanPickup,
Unfortunately we didn't get a fix for that in for the 10.0 release, but there is a potential fix in for the first patch.
Apologies for the inconvenience

You can use this link if you manage to reproduce it, thanks!

Hey @StuartRc,
I'm struggling to reproduce this, any chance of uploading a package you've saved from step 4? In theory that then should also fail to open for me
Thanks
-
Also if this is reproducible can you upload a crash report?
-
Thanks, I can actually reproduce it crashing in retail now (not sure why I couldn't before). It loads correctly in the current beta.
I've re-saved it in the beta and re loaded it in retail and it seems to not crash for me any more, I've attached this file. Check if this opens for you fine in 1.9.3, if not it might be worth jumping onto the latest beta here.
Thanks

You'll need to remove it and reinstall it to downgrade
