There is a fix for some files crashing on open in the latest beta here. Please try this and let us know if you still have issues opening your files in the beta
-
If this still errors for you in the beta linked above please post in the beta forum and we'll look into it, but as Walt states most causes for this error should be fixed in that beta

If you can still upload it i'm curious to check if it crashes for me, but otherwise just let us know if it happens again
-
Can you upload the file you are opening here?
Thanks

Thanks, this file is crashing shortly after loading for me (I don't need to take any actions), the crash I get and your crash look very similar and similar to a report we have logged at the moment.
Do you find if you open the file and do nothing it also crashes?

Leave it with us, we've only seen a couple of files like this so far, and both times it's not crashed for us when we have received the file and then seems to work when we send a re-saved version back. I'm investigating what might be causing this but glad that the file now opens for you.
Let us know if it happens again

Thanks, I've PM'd you a link to a re saved version of your file, can you let me know if that still crashes for you?

Hi @Migs55,
We've identified the cause of this and have a potential fix internally which we will hopefully have a beta out for, for now I'd avoid duplicating picture frames/pages with frames on to try avoid the issue or downgrade to 1.9.2 if this if you are experiencing this issue alot.
Thanks

Hi @georglind,
Do you mind uploading the file here? We have had a couple of reports of some files crashing on open and I'd like to check it is the same cause
Thanks

Hi @Leon Munz,
I've tried setting up a similar file to what's in your video but it isn't crashing for me, any chance of uploading the file used in the video to help me reproduce it?
Thanks

Hi @AnaliseThis
On Page 2 there is a link to a microsoft page and this hyperlink includes a space in which is not valid and is causing it to error when exporting.
This is a bug on our side (it shouldn't error) but the hyperlink would still not work on export, so fixing this should remove the error and generate the correct url when you export
Thanks

We have identified a recipe which causes this bug to appear and has now been fixed internally. We believe this should fix the saving issue for most (if not everyone). We are hoping to release a beta with this fix in soon, and subject to testing have this fix in our first patch.
I would advise using 1.9.2 until this patch/beta is out if are affected by this bug a lot, or avoiding duplicating pages/master pages and picture frames to try avoid it for now
Thanks and apologies for the inconvenience this bug caused

Hi @Emil123,
This file opens fine for me, but I am missing resources/fonts used in the file.
Would it be possible for you to attach the crash report?

This file is crashing on open for me, when it is composing text (I have to leave it open for a good few seconds and then the app will close)
Do you find the same, that if you perform no actions after opening the file it crashes? We've had a couple of files reported to us that do this and it's been logged

Are you able to navigate to %AppData%\Affinity\Publisher\1.0 and upload the CrashReports folder here.
If you have any steps that can reproduce these crashes it would be helpful too
Thanks

Thanks @John Rostron, it seems to be the same cause as the other file so I've added it to that report
