    Hi Pioneer, We have our own crash reporter, most unhandled exceptions should get caught, and on next run up a prompt should appear asking if it is ok to send the crash report. Whilst testing we have found the occasional bug that will not prompt with an unhandled exception and crash to desktop, if you encounter any be sure to post the recipe here. Thanks

    Hi Pixelplucker, I've exported a few files fine over here. What folder are you attempting to export to? There could be an issue exporting to a folder with non ascii characters in. Are you able to export just a simple document with a shape on?

    I'd disagree with you and say it is a bug :p. Thanks for the report and i'll get this logged for the developers to look into, glad you've not really encountered any other issues!

    I'm setting some virtual machines up to see if I can reproduce some of the behaviour here, but if you have the same issue can you do the above steps and attach the crash dump whilst we look into it?

    Hiya, Could you let me know the directory you are running the download from? Any chance of also providing a screenshot? I've not seen this error before. Thanks

    What locale is your OS set to? Can you navigate to %appdata%\Roaming\Serif\Affinity Designer\1.0 (Beta)\CrashReports and send me any crash reports that exist in there? It may be that the program isn't even loading to the point of creating appdata though, so let me know if you can't find anything there

    Hiya, I saw on another post that you have installed to a default location. What locale OS do you have installed? After a crash would you be able to go to %AppData%\Roaming\Serif\Affinity Designer\1.0 (Beta) and let me know if you have any contents inside that folder? If you have a folder called CrashReports with anything in could you zip them and upload them for us?

    @PerroBG - You can change the gamma levels of the UI in Edit > Preferences > UI, but there is a bug here which might cause issues when you use the slider. Yes Alfred, the software is currently in a mix of US and GB English, glad your initial impressions are good though, and good to see you here :)

    Would you mind manually downloading the redist incase something didn't install correctly? You can find the VC redist here Thanks, and sorry that you are having troubles running the program up.

    When you say you cannot Paste, is it disabled, or does it just not function? If you go to Paste Special > Device Independant Bitmap does that work?

    Can you hold down CTRL while opening the app and let me know if that helps at all?

    If you hold CTRL while running the program up it will reset it all to English. I'll look into the other issue

    Hi Xanathon, Glad to hear your first impressions are good! The software isn't fully localized at the moment, it is something we are looking at bringing in over the next few weeks. So sorry for any inconvenience caused in the meantime. The highlighting doesn't seem too bad for me, but I could see how on some other monitor profiles that it might be a bit harder to see, i'll see if we get some other reports of this.

    Hi Murph, Glad you are enjoying it so far! I've just looked into this, it exports to a mapped drive for me but seems to failing to export to a UNC path, i'll get this logged! Thanks!

    Hi JamesD, Would you be able to upload the file to dropbox and PM me a link so I can see if I can reproduce the crash? It's a bit of a stab in the dark, i'm guessing something is preventing the connection, but if you let me know what you use i'll see if I get similar behaviour.

    @laurentia - It seems to be having an issue writing the colour profiles to appdata for next runup, I've reported this and thanks for bringing it to our attention @JamesD - What specific edits were you making that caused the crash, can you give me some steps to reproduce it? The app loads windowed for me. The crash report server seems set up ok, i'll speak with a dev and see if they have any idea why this might be happening, are you using any AV software? If you have any specific issues to report new threads are preferred, as it just helps us keep track of things a bit better and stops this thread from getting too cluttered.

    Hmmm, i'll keep an eye out for it then. It might have been something some before hand that made it act strangely. If you see it again let us know, meanwhile i'll dig a bit and see if I have any luck reproducing it.

    Hi Frank, Whilst you have the fill tool active you should be able to just move the centre node to the middle to achieve that, see attached.

    Hi Luke, First things first, on the photo that doesn't have the thirds grid overlay, can you check if the overlay is correctly set to Thirds Grid on the context toolbar? If it does and still isn't displaying let me know. Thanks

    Hi Frank, Assuming i've not misinterpreted what you are saying, whilst having the fill tool active does changing the fill type to Radial or Conical achieve what you are looking for? Thanks

    Bit delayed, but The Room is a hilarious film :p. If you're a fan of "so bad they are good films", I recommend troll 2. There is no troll 1, it just starts with troll 2. Also really impressive poster :)
