Pšenda got a reaction from thomaso in Is it possible to mass-edit slices in Export Persona?
Just for information - the position of the Artboards is defined by the position of the "Origin" Artboard - i.e. the leftmost and topmost one, which is always at position 0, 0. Very easily (by moving or adding new artboard before/above this Origin artboard) you can mess up the right one (Pixel perfect) positions of the other artboards, or you can correct them on the contrary - by correcting the position of the Origin artboards by the necessary offset, the positions of the others will also be aligned, so they do not have to be corrected one by one.

Pšenda got a reaction from PaulEC in Enhancement requests
Everyone has different work habits and procedures, and thus different requirements for keyboard shortcuts and context menu items. Therefore, it is good that the keyboard shortcuts can be modified according to the needs and habits of the user, and it would also be good to enable the setting of context menu items. Otherwise, someone will always be satisfied, and someone else will not.

Pšenda reacted to PaulEC in Still no way to set PDF export default to "All Pages" - Legacy bug from Affinity Publisher 1
This isn't actually a bug – it's by design! But it is extremely annoying!
I'm sure I can't be the only one who finds it easier to work with facing pages, but, invariably, wants to export as single pages. I have no idea why it can't be an option or a sticky setting or, at least, included in a preset.

That is not how I read the query. What the OP wrote was:
"I would really like to see native ARM64 support for my Windows Pro X."
No mention of Affinity.

Pšenda got a reaction from Stun Damage in Lens correction for Tamron 28-75mm Di III VXD G2?
Since the lens in question is a zoom (not fixed/single focus), you would have to do this for all focal lengths. Then, according to the specific photo (focal length used), apply the measured correction parameters of the relevant focal length. That's quite a lot of work 🙂

Pšenda reacted to GarryP in Curved text tool now available?
Unless I’m missing something about the requirements, you can bend the bottom of the text by using a Quad Warp Group and then dragging the centre of the bottom of the bounding box – see attached video.

Pšenda got a reaction from Sunil Wu in On Affinity Designer on desktop: how do I duplicate a layer
Or menu Edit, Duplicate Selection (Ctrl+J), aka Power Duplicate - a very handy function that, in addition to duplicating the object, also performs the previous transformation operation.

Pšenda reacted to stokerg in Expand Stroke is broken on specific shape
Hi @shinichiro,
Thanks for reporting this.
I've just got this logged with the Developers to resolve.
There are a few issues with Expand Stroke and all are ever so slightly different, so it's likely another bug was fixed, which was very similar to this one.

Pšenda got a reaction from stokerg in Expand Stroke is broken on specific shape
This is double/overlaping node.
Edit: convert this node to Sharp.
Shape has a strange curvature (I don't know if you did it on purpose or it's just a mistake) which then creates a strange "formation".
After converting to Sharp and straightening, Expand Stroke is done correctly.
P.S. I assume it was supposed to be a rectangle with a beveled corner.
I recommend drawing a shape/rectangle and using the Corner Tool.

Apparently there is still a bug (I thought it was already fixed) because all you have to do is enlarge the shape, do an Expand Stroke and shrink it again.

Pšenda got a reaction from joe_l in Equal spacing when duplicating (Ctrl + J)
For these purposes, Ctrl+J is not suitable, because the size will always be incremented by the defined value of the "new" object, i.e. the already enlarged object. You would need the gradual size increments to always be made to the original object, which the Duplicate function does not do.
P.S. further clarification, Ctrl+J converts the size change to a percentage increment - that's why the enlarging object also manifests itself as an enlarging increment.

Pšenda reacted to Alfred in AD 2 improvements
Further contributions to an ongoing discussion in an existing thread seems more likely to result in Serif doing something. Going over old ground in yet another new thread will simply dilute the discussion and make it more difficult for everyone (including Serif staff) to review the points raised so far.

Pšenda reacted to jackamus in AD 2 improvements
Maybe that's what it needs to get Serif to do something!

Pšenda reacted to GarryP in AD 2 improvements
So why ask for it again in a new thread?
You could have just said “Thanks for the new stuff Serif” and left it at that while, if you think it’s necessary, adding a new post to an existing thread about dimension lines saying that you still want them.
Now we have yet another thread about dimension lines which some people will find via searches and, probably, get another repeated discussion about the same thing.

Pšenda reacted to Dan C in Where to Set Shortcut for Paragraph Panel?
Hi @Mr. Doodlezz & all others here
I can confirm there are 2 bugs at play here:
Firstly, for 2.1 Windows (OS) the Studio shortcuts are correctly found under the 'Window' section of the Shortcuts Settings, as Psendas screenshot shows - following the menu convention found in the app.
For 2.1 macOS, these are incorrectly split between the 'Window' and 'Studio' sections of the Shortcut Settings, which is logged as a UI bug with our development team.
Secondly, for macOS Big Sur and onwards, there is a separate bug with duplicate Shortcuts being shown incorrectly in certain lists.
For example, the duplicate entries of 'Toggle Full Screen' in the 'Window' section, and duplicate entries of 'Emoji & Symbols' under the 'Edit' section.
This is the reason markw is not seeing the duplicates, as I believe they are running Catalina with Affinity V2 - this is also logged as a bug with our UI team.
I will be sure to 'bump' both reports with this thread now, I hope this helps!

Pšenda got a reaction from Sunil Wu in Affinity Designer: which brush did I use?
Unfortunately, no. In version 2.1, the currently selected/used brush is highlighted, but this does not say anything about previously used brushes, or perhaps the possibility of modifying their parameters. Which is of course a shame, and it is an inconsistency in the behavior of the application - with Stroke and Color, additional editing works without any problems.

So the Mac version has two "Toggle Full Screen" menu items? - smart.

??? Try scrolling the wheel above the edit field - as OP requested in previous post ("I want to change the width of stroke using the mouse wheel without any clicks").
Or click directly to edit the field, without the need to click to expand the pulldown panel.
