Yes! That thread is exactly how I feel. It is such a great feature if you happen to be looking at that corner of the screen, but speaking for myself, my eyes are usually focused on another area of the screen having just performed an action and invariably catch the notification fading out, never to be seen again as I start to sweat, wondering what I have screwed up now!
I like your history idea too.

Unfortunately, the current potential of the Assistant and its messages is completely untapped.
 
At the same time, relatively little would be enough - the history of messages, or the optional necessity of clicking off the message (consent to perform the Assistant operation).
 
Missing font - Preflight? 

Assistant works perfectly, but his message is shown shortly, and can be overlooked.
It would help message history, or something like notification in Windows 10 (Action center).

loooool. No they never advertised it, but it's kinda implied when you have a photoshop clone, an illustrator clone, and a publisher clone and off them as a packaged deal.

Many users may also be confused by the possibility of setting parameters in the Stroke panel, even though the tool that directly uses the stroke is not selected/active.

Well I tried checking my history but can't seem to find the pages where I saw that if you had the previous version, you can upgrade for free, and just need to enter in your license.
It's not a big deal at all of course because this amazing app is well worth the price, I just thought why should I buy it if I can upgrade for free? (haha) And yes Psenda, it's possible I saw "update" and took that as an upgrade to V2? 
What happened was, I formatted my computer for various reasons and my husband downloaded Affinity pub for me so when I went in and my license didn't work, I realized after checking my account etc. that I had downloaded V2. Cue my confusion. Anyway, thank you so much for the replies!

Just out of curiosity - why do you want/need to uninstall V1? Saving disk space?
P.S. If you don't need V1 (you haven't run it in a quarter of a year), then feel free to uninstall it, because you can install it again if necessary.

As I understand it, the entire purpose of rope/window is to control how the stabilizer works. So, to me, it makes perfect sense that they only have an effect when you enable the stabilizer.

Yes, it looks better in V2.

But still there are certain inaccuracies - artifacts after inconsistent background deletion.

The shadow represents a light source hitting an object.
Why would the light source's direction change if, say, a person was lying down or standing up.
 

Thanks, exactly my point. At best, we can hope that the AI models will ignore images containing certain "copyright protected" / "AI generated" symbols or patterns. However, if their creators decide to ignore/circumvent these measures, it will be rather easy for them to do so, and it's safe to assume that at least some AI models will do exactly that, especially if lot of people starts to "protect" their artwork.
It's unfortunate, but the question the artists today need to be asking really is "how can I make profit from my art despite the AI being able to immitate my style". The only real  option to make sure* AI won't use your images for training is never publishing any of your artwork online which is next to impossible for most people trying to make money from their art.
* And even that won't be 100 % bulletproof solution as the AI can still hypothetically use a photo of your artwork someone else publishes, even though it would be as close to keeping your art protected as possible.

However, all of the mentioned procedures require a fair and correct approach by the AI to reject images that were not authorized by the author for its learning.
