Pšenda got a reaction from Aammppaa in Reverse Curve changes the selection
But the question is, what was the reason for choosing the node? Did you choose this node because it is the "second" node from the beginning of the curve, or because it is the node at the xy "position" with a specific curvature of the curve? Personally, I don't really care about the order of the node from the start of the curve, and I select the node because of its position and shape of the curve (so I can move it, or adjust the shape of the curve), so I would expect the node to remain selected even after change the direction of the curve.

Yes, thanks, a good mention. I have used it myself. It is even easier to use than AutoIt but may have some restrictions. Eg. I’m not sure if it can be triggered by a watched folder.

"AutoHotkey" is often recommended here on the forum.

Do we have rotatable guides yet? And if not, why not? And please don't reply that there are clunky work-arounds like creating objects, rotating them, etc. Just allow guides to rotate. Simple, intuitive, expected and efficient.

Apologies for the unclarity. Yes, I was talking about gradients and FX.
My original posting is from the days I was still struggling with the Affinity UI. There was a bit learning curve.  Fill and strokes work fine with the Colour Chooser window (or the Color Picker Tool). I wish to have the same functionality in the gradients fill and FX panel.

Pšenda reacted to fde101 in Colour picker is unnecessary complicated
Probably because he is not setting the normal fill/stroke color, but an additional color which is part of one of the layer FX, which that tool does not correspond to.

Why are you using a tool that is designed to sample a color and save it for later application to other objects? Why not use the Color picker tool instead, which is designed exactly for "one click" cases?

At the time I posted, I quoted the entire content of the message I responded to.
As there is more there now, the OP must have edited their message to add it, but creating a new post would have been better, as it would have provided a notification of the additional information. A mere edit doesn't.

Forum search engine didn't throw me any result about swapping object. Wonder why?
Thanks @Pšenda Next time I'll be more careful and and double check using forum search and google.

Pšenda got a reaction from Oufti in Sort items for Toolbar customise
Some group items and their possible alternatives are displayed logically - that is, the group item (with a small triangle), and then its individual items.

But some items are completely illogically in reversed order,

    or even completely chaotic.

Setting up the Toolbar is thus quite demanding and laborious, because it is not clear which of the items can possibly be grouped and which cannot.
Therefore, I am asking for a logical and unambiguous arrangement of the items that can be grouped, and possibly also for their visual differentiation/grouping, so that it is obvious at a glance which items can be grouped and which cannot.
    Thank you.

I'll just add - the Help of any application usually only serves to describe the application's environment and its tools and functions, not to explain what and how to do it. This is what tutorials and Workbooks are for. It's a shame that Workbooks from Serif are no longer available.

@perfidious, just curious but when you were new to Photoshop, did that app's help provide simple step-by-step procedures for everything you wanted to know how to do with it? Or did you find it necessary or useful to search online for Adobe and/or third party tutorials & videos, and/or post queries in Adobe's and/or third party support forums?
Personally, when I first was trying to find my way around the Affinity apps, the first thing I did was just to try out the tools to see what they could do, & do the same with the Studio panels & other options. I set the tooltip delay to near zero & paid attention to the status bar to help with that, & only when none of that told me what I wanted to know did I refer to the help, search online, & start posting to this forum.
It did not take as long as I thought it would to get comfortable with using the apps, in part because once I learned how one thing worked, it became more obvious how others did, & also because the support provided by the user community & staff was far better than I expected.
I don't know if a similar strategy would work for you but you might consider it or something like it.

Try Google search engine on the online Help, which often give relevant results with common question:
    https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+reduce+the+saturation+in+an+image+site:https://affinity.help
HSL Adjustments and Sponge Brush Tool from previous posts is in the search results.

    Hi
On this last version , I can export only in Png or Jpeg and without the different calcs, the picture must be flatten. I never export using the Affinity file, sorry, it is of no use if I want to send a picture to a printing service or else.
I don't need to export the whole historic, just the final calcs and adjustements. I am on Mac.
Anyone has an idea if there is a case to tick somewhere ?

Probably like they did with the legacy plus range and handing out a universal key.
So make sure you keep your downloads/installers backed up.

Pšenda reacted to bbrother in Affinity V3.0
    This is not entirely true.
The correct answer is as long Affinity will keep the activation server online.
If they stop maintaining it alive and you have to reinstall V2, you're done.
