Thank you both for your replies. Now I know how to make sure the correct order. The a.m. link was also very helpfully.

The existing way of locking the layer does not protect its contents from unwanted change.
It only provides protection before selecting from canvas area and moving contents (https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/53707-lockingunlocking-layers/&do=findComment&comment=271924).
 
But it would also be useful to ensure protecting the layer from unwanted contents modifications.
For example, as it is solved in Photoshop, with "Fully" and "Partialy" lock (https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/moving-stacking-locking-layers.html).

The (generous) discount is targeting creatives who are up Shit Creek without a paddle financially these tragic days. Millions lost their job. Perhaps for good. If Affinity customers have all they need in Publisher and Designer bad usability should not put them in this silly situation where they have to purchase what they have in Designer anyway.

If you need every Personas from APhoto/ADesigner, for example Export Persona, you must switch to application via "Edit in.."

Why should I take color from one document and use it in a completely different document? And even replace the original color, and have to complicate to renew it again ?! Wow, that would be stupid. If by any chance I need to do it, I have it captured in the Color Selector, and I can use it at any time. Affinity thanks how easy and logical.

It's just I think it's will be a great feature, very useful sometimes. And if they develop this like a module we can hope to see that in a future.
I just don't know how to told them : "hey team, look what it can be good as a new features"

Take a look at the Blend Mode you have specified on the Context Toolbar. You perhaps want Normal, not Darker Color as you currently have it set.

Lightroom is DAM, APhoto is photo editor (like PS), not DAM.

On my system, the instructions that match the ones you showed are from the Designer Help, not the Publisher Help.
