  1. Thanks for the message - hopefully a step in the right direction :-). Personally, I have been waiting for a similar step for a long time. It must be clear to everyone that such a small company with such few resources has a very difficult time in the current competition, and that new AI-type technologies are realistically unattainable for such a small team without the support of a stronger partner. p.s. it was to be expected that such a load of mud would appear here in response to your statement, so don't let it put you off - thanks for your work.
  2. You know, not everyone is such a fighter as you, to calmly decide the fate of the company and its employees, and then go to sleep well.
  3. Thanks. I'll just put the link here so that those interested don't have to look for it 🙂
  4. I'm glad the advice was useful 🙂 If you have created an Asset of these basic math functions, and were willing to share it with other forum users, then you could put it in the Resource forum - I'm sure many users would appreciate it. Alternatively, Serif could take inspiration from this and add similar Assets as part of the installation.
  5. The main difference, which Walt already mentioned, is the type of layer you are working with. If it is a "Pixel" layer, then you can work with it as you are probably used to from the previous 30 applications - i.e. selection with the Marquee tool, deselect with Esc or Ctrl+D, etc. But if the layer is an object/container type Image, then with you work with it as with the entire layer - not with an array of pixels. You can convert an Image layer to a Pixel layer using Rasterization.
  6. Why not create your own category or your own presets (or templates) or use Favorites (heart icons)? https://affinity.help/photo2/English.lproj/pages/GetStarted/NewDocument.html

  8. I don't really understand the reason to complicatedly create something that can be easily downloaded from the internet (or from my post) and it will still be an accurate vector sine wave within the required range.
  9. Right click on sine image inserted in my post, then Save image (SVG) as...
  10. Marking symbols and their synchronization using an orange bar was already in version 1.
  11. Unfortunately, the output is not a vector, which I assume is the OP's request. You could use two vector SVG sine waves downloaded from the Internet, and then gradually snap the created series of lines between the curves - using snapping it is easy and accurate.
  12. Even a circle isn't a "circle" in Affinity 🙂
  13. For simple functions there is no need to use any special graphics/math programs, just download the curve as SVG from the internet - for example from wikipedia: Video_2024-03-25_084800.mp4
  14. I'm sorry, but I would still be interested in an example of a tutorial for "absolute beginners", which will not be easily adapted to V2 due to the mentioned changes in the "quite different" UI.
  15. Which of the V1 tutorials were you unable to adapt for V2?
  16. Considering that the standard is manipulation with only one Node handle, only in specific cases the simultaneous modification of both is used, so the annoyed/satisfied ratio would be significantly higher (perhaps all vs one : -)
  17. I encourage you to explore the capabilities of this application - it is a unique tool for bulk metadata editing.
  18. The content of the opened/imported pdf can of course be edited. It is then possible to export this new/edited content as a pdf file.
  19. ... i will just add that from the point of view of the mentioned tutorials for V1, these are only cosmetic changes that do not affect their portability and applicability to the V2 version.
  20. If it should be about export/print control, I assume that the request would be formulated differently - "hide" refers only to not-displaying, not to not-exporting.
  21. If I "hide" a specific page in the Pages Panel so that it does not appear in it, how would I then display it again? If I "hide" a layer in the Layers panel, it is still displayed in it, only its content is not displayed in the document/canvas. So if I'm looking for the equivalent of this function for a Page, i.e. "hiding" its content for display on the canvas, I just don't select it (I don't click on it).
  22. Try off HW Acceleration in application Preferences.
  23. If you do not want to display the Pages in Pages panel, which is the main purpose of this panel, then hide the entire panel. Alternatively, collapse the Pages category and expand only the Master Pages category.
