  1. Try undock - click on tab (Adjustments, Effects,... ), and drag to canvas. Optionally hide/show through the menu (View, Studio, ...).
  2. This is mentioned immediately in your paragraph - "Be sure to check Colours & Gradients on p. 102 for more details." On that page, exactly 104, it's described in "Gradient control".
  3. I only tried APhoto, but I'm fine. Edit: Can not it be a problem with Windows display scaling settings? If it is not 100%, there may be a recalculation problem.
  4. In Affinity it does the same. If you delete part of the top layer / image, the bottom layer (background) is displayed. Alternatively, there may be Fill Layer (Layer menu, New Fill Layer).
  5. JPEG does not have transparency. So there's always a background, which you need to manually remove.
  6. Contemporary behavior is also bad for me, I hope it will be repaired soon. Just for interest, will it be controlled the source or target choice 'scale with object'?
  7. It's been requested for two years, and still nothing :-(
  8. It's been asked for long ago, maybe sometimes. Edit: Currently, the best way to create a template - blank file with the necessary guides/grids/dimensions/etc. settings.
  9. Chance is sure, but the term is still unknown :-) Try searching for "DAM", on the forum has been discussed frequently and for a long time.
  10. Preferences, General, Import PSD text as text rather than bitmap.
  11. But it does not show the same. The canvas is not the same size, and the picture is not the same size. Try displaying 100%, 1px display = 1px image, otherwise recalculation, and blurring. P. S. This is not Develop Persona (for RAW developing), but Photo Persona.
  12. It's true, that zero is somehow jamming - if it scrolls (with Shift) above the number, so it hangs at 0/360. Outside, it works reliably. Maybe there is a problem in that, if I start with zero, it always goes over again (2, 1, "0", 359). Sometimes, however, if I use the scroll + Shift above the number, the zero will replace the 360 (2, 1, "360", 359). It is also interesting, that the scroll + Shift above number, the steps is after ten (7, 10, 20), while outside number adding/subtracting 5 (7, 12, 17).
  13. A good way to adjust the angle is scrolling. Scroll with Shift: - cursor over angle number = step 10, - cursor outside number (but inside circle) = step 5.
  14. If a post is edited, it is possible to insert a note - the reason for editing. Checkbox "Show ..." must be ticked. However, if I edit the post again (just to add punctuation), the check mark will disappear, and must be ticked again. It would be advisable, therefore, to remember when editing a post.
  15. This assumption you draw from what? On another thread, the moderator said that they are not currently working on DAM (unfortunately).
  16. For this case, you can use copy/paste from the menu Edit, or use shortcut Ctrl+C/V, or Duplicate in Layers panel. The context menu should use the "context", and should therefore respect the position of the mouse cursor - towards which the context menu is invoked. Yes, maybe. But it is still better to fine-tune the target position, than moving the object across the document.
  17. This is Affinity Designer, not Affinity Photo (and because you are referring to Photoshop, the analogy with APhoto is obvious). It would be good to specify, what application you are asking. In ADesigner switch to Pixel persona.
