Hi Walt-Farrell, Carl123 try using Gadwin Printscreen. It allows you capture Full screen or user defined area, where to save screen prints, whether to name them automatically, what format to save in and if you click on something like the magnifying glass (hey Mac users!!), then when the dropdown appears just hit your user defined hotkey/s to capture the image. Can't do without it, so much easier than copying a full screen print Pman

Hio Eugene, I see what you mean about placing multiple images - I had not tried that before. However what I tried was putting a copy of the picture(s) in Assets as that will a good workaround. Assets work more or less in the way that you want. You can store your images for the document in the Assets bar, and if you delete one in your publication, and realise you want it it again you simply have to drag a copy from the Assets bar into your document. an added bonus is that while you have them in the Assets bar they remain there even if you close Publisher down or open a new document and want to use some of your images in that new publication. Great for storing text that you use frequently, too! Assets remain available to any of your publications until you decide to delete them from the Assets tab see attached document for details on making and using assets Sorry taken long time to reply -had problems uploading this publication for you. AgileMktg Items on a master page are only shown as an uneditable image on a page which the master applies to. Therefore the image of a text box seen on your page(s) cannot have text inserted. You actually have to physically put a text box on an actual page. That has always been the case from PagePlus's early days (and other programmes too) However you can autoflow text quite simply into new identical text frames by drawing a text frame on a page and inserting your text from an original document. Then HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY and next click on the Flow button (towards the bottom right New text frames of identical size and properties will be inserted and filled until no more text remains

Hi Eugene Not quite sure what you mean by the Place panel, there is no reference to it in Help. If I place multiple images on a page in a document, then a thumbnail for each appears in the Layers tab. Deleting an image removes it from the Layers panel and Ctrl+Z [or Edit - Undo] restores the image in the document and puts it's thumbnail back on the Layers tab. Note that each page has it's own Layers tab. Don't quite know if this helps you Pman

Hi Dave, while trying to reply to your query about not being able to see the Text Wrap icons which I had on my toolbar, I lost mine while trying to customize the toolbar. The icons I wanted had disappeared and the Customize Toolbar item on the View menu was greyed out. I put a query onto the forums and Walt- come up with a solution. He suggested resetting Publisher Beta by holding down the Control key (Ctrl) while booting Publisher. If you do this then you are presented with a Reset screen [see below] which gives you options on what you want to reset. I selected all then Clear and hey presto! the missing icons reappeared on my toolbar. It might be worth a try

Might be worth having a try at resetting Publisher beta by holding down Control key (Ctrl) while Publisher boots. A Reset screen will then open. Either Select All and then Clear or select options. Many thanks to Walt_Farrell for giving me that hint after Text Wrapping option buttons disappeared from my tool bar. As to linking frames it definitely should work - when you DRAW a new text frame or when you select a frame you should see a triangle on the frame which is the link tool. see text frame image below. Thanks Walt, holding down Ctrl while booting has opened up a dialogue where I could reset everything. That has worked and now everything is working well Pman

Having successfully used the Show Wrap Settings using the icon on the toolbar, while answering another query, I was then surprised that the next time I opened Publisher Beta the icons for Wrap Settings were no longer there and the option -Customize Toolbar was greyed out so it is no longer accessible. I then tried repairing the installation with no success, so uninstalled Publisher Beta then reinstalled it. Still no success, though it is still possible to access the Show Wrap Settings from the Text, it is not as convenient. wrap settings disappeared.afpub

It is easy to insert a text box into another and wrap text from the outer text box around it. The way that I did it was to draw a text box which I filled with filler text. I then drew another text box outside the first, dragged it in and resized it. I then applied wrapping via the Show Text Wrap Settings, enlarging the Distance from Text settings to make it more obvious. Pictures can be placed in exactly the same way, either by using the Insert Picture tool OR the Insert Picture Frame tool (see Tutorial video Placing Images. As a regular user of Serif Photoplus 7 and Gimp, I am used to being able to select part of a picture, copy it to clipboard and then select Paste as New Image. This automatically opens up a canvas of the correct size and pastes the image onto it However, as a new user to Affinity Photo, I don't seem to be able to find a way to do this in Affinity Photo and I would appreciate any help. Hi I have just started using Affinity Photo and have yet to find I use Serif Photoshop and also Gimp. Both of these have the option to Copy a Selection and then Paste as A New Image where the selection was made into a new image whose size was automatically set up by the command. I haven't yet found a way to do the same in Affinity Photo. Can anybody tell me if it can be done Ian
