  1. Out of interest, is the aim to have the version number for Publisher in sync with Designer and Photo (the way those 2 products already have version numbers in sync with each other)? If so, does that mean Photo and Designer will still be on version 1.x next year, or does it mean that Publisher will have its initial release as version 2.x ?
  2. Thanks MEB, it sounds quite unlikely then, unfortunately. With this being quite a new application, and with the opportunity to start from scratch without any legacy cruft and legacy naming, it's disappointing that these kinds of things weren't carefully considered beforehand. Now, even at this early stage, you may be stuck with these inconsistencies forever.
  3. Thanks MEB, but can you also indicate whether you agree that the names should be made consistent, or whether whoever is responsible for any changes in this area on your side agrees. Right now I'm unsure as to whether any change is actually going to be implemented.
  4. In AD 1.5.1 if I can right click on the main toolbar and choose 'Customise Toolbar...', why can't I right click on the tools on the left and choose 'Customise Tools...' ? It is currently necessary to use the Menu for that.
  5. In AD 1.5.1 I've enabled the 'Icons and Text' view for the main toolbar to get used to the names of the groups of tools. However, I notice there is not consistency in the naming of groups on the toolbar versus the naming of submenus in the Menus. Just taking the default toolbar groups, for example, this is how the mapping looks as far as I can tell: Name of Toolbar Group Name of submenu in Menu --------------------- ----------------------- Personas Personas Defaults Defaults View Mode View Mode Order Arrange Transforms Transform Arrange Alignment Snapping Snapping Manager Operations Geometry Insert Target Insertion I think it would be far more helpful if the names matched more closely. The way it is right now is quite confusing.
  6. Concerning these 2 settings... RAM Usage Limit—allows you to set your preference for optimizing application performance for your projects. Disk Usage Warning At—choose the limit at which you are warned about disk usage. I suspect there may be some inconsistency in the way these settings work and are named/described. 'RAM usage' refers to the amount of RAM that Designer uses, but I suspect 'Disk Usage' does not refer to the amount of disk space that Designer uses. Instead, I suspect it refers to the amount of free disk space on the drive where Affinity is installed? Is that correct? If so, I suggest making that clearer, perhaps naming it something like 'Disk Space Free Warning At'.
  7. In Affinity Designer is there a simple way to overlap 2 shapes in such a way that there is no border in the area where they intersect? Please see the attached screenshot for a simple example. Here, I'd like the border at the top part of the triangle to disappear.
