  1. I suspect this may be if you are using a non-UK English setup? Hopefully the new build (just releasing right now!) should fix this - sorry
  2. Status: Beta Purpose: Features, Improvements, Fixes Requirements: Purchased Affinity Designer Mac App Store: Not Submitted Download: Download Auto-update: Not available Hello, If this is your first time using a customer beta of an Affinity app, it’s worth noting that the beta will install as a separate app - alongside your store version. They will not interfere with each other at all and you can continue to use the store version for critical work without worry. This beta is an incremental update to the 1.9.3 version recently released to all customers (although it still installs parallel to the released version, as described above). We recommend that you use this beta in preference to the store version if you are affected by any of the issues listed below. Thanks again for your continued support! Many thanks! Matt Changes This Time - Potentially huge performance improvements for large documents. We've spent a long time looking at this and have improved performance many-fold for large documents and improved scalability. If you have particular documents that still appear 'too slow' then feel free to share them with me and I'll do my best to look into them - Memory handling improvements - Fixed PDF Export group opacity potentially being applied twice - Fixed potential crash when quitting with layers still on the clipboard - Localisation improvements
  3. What the heck!?!?! Mind-blowing!!!!
  4. Quite right, @Alfred, it was an Exige - they're very similar, but just not the same I didn't comment because I'm busy with other tasks and I don't really have anything thrilling to add... Yes, I wrote the Mesh fill in DrawPlus, I know what to type and where to make it in Affinity Designer - the bigger issue is the tool itself, which takes longer to write, but my main reason for not adding it yet is that I'm still favouring the addition of a different type of gradient, that achieves what people are trying to do with a Mesh, but in a much neater, more manageable way... I don't really want to add 'bloat' (a tool that's there 'just because Illustrator has it') when we could do something better, but I understand the frustration of not having it (or the other option) at present... But once I add something, it's there forever - and I'm not sure if I want to commit to having the traditional Mesh Fill tool forever? Perhaps I have to, but any time spent writing that is time NOT spent writing the thing that I think would be better, so it's hard to justify, if you see what I mean?

  10. We've just fixed this - it'll be in the next build. Sorry!
  11. Thanks for this! It looks like your crash was due to one of the controls in the Stroke panel having focus and possibly performing and action while the app was shutting down... I haven't seen the crash before, but with that info we might be able to reproduce it, thank you!

  14. While we're waiting, here's my own cat, Brian... helping out, thinking about some terribly tricky code, I'm sure... or he could be sleeping?
  15. (I'm just building it with the Cat tool rigged to generate the original Cat Shape, so I can share the file with any other interested minds, lol! Hang in there!)

  18. Yes, v_kyr is right, I meant the *original* cat shape - the one cat shape to rule them all... I might make it show that Cat shape at random on Friday 13th
