  1. ...it's in the next beta :) (on the line page you'll find a miter limit control)
  2. Hi Christobal, That's a great suggestion - I'll have a think about it and how it might work :) Many thanks, Matt
  3. Just as a heads-up, Andy Tang has already looked at this and now our list also appears instantly, correctly displaying the font preview.
  4. If we're talking about physical size, then it's just an arbitrary maximum number, and Miguel is exactly right that it's 256,000 pixels in width and height. We could choose a different number, but a 61 GigaPixel document sounds enough for now doesn't it? ;) If you meant in terms of document complexity, we designed it to work well with real-world documents that have many hundreds of thousands/millions of objects. There's no reason why that couldn't be hundreds of millions of objects/nested documents to be honest, but it all depends on the structure of your document. You could provoke it to be unhappy, just like I could provoke anything to be unhappy if you find the right combination, but in the real world you should never see a problem - and if you do, then let me know and we can fix it because the architecture should stand up to it just fine! :)
  5. Nice video, Dale - hopefully should make it very clear how the candidate system works :)
  6. Put it this way... I desperately want it too, so it won't be that far away! ;)
  7. Hi Map Man, I've just had a chat with AndyS who is looking at Freehand import and he confirmed that FH9 files differ slightly in terms of what they save for their fills - and this has consequences for parsing the files. He already has a fix for this and will get around to validating the import of FH9 files soon and check in the update. This will definitely be done prior to launch, so keep an eye out for it :) Thanks, Matt
  8. I think Ben has plans for this already :)
  9. I just wanted to pop in and assure you that we are definitely aware of this and that it will be added as soon as I get chance! This will be after release though as there are usually ways to workaround this (with clipping) and it needs a good chunk of time allotted to it in order to make it work correctly and quickly, which I won't have until we release...
  10. No, we don't have that yet - it's not hidden away! ;) It will come...
  11. Hi Kasem, This has been mentioned in this thread - I'm still busy on other stuff, but it is definitely my intention to get this done soon Thanks, Matt
  12. Certainly an interesting idea - it's definitely worth thinking about (although I'll be left out from the fun with my MacBook Pro!)
  13. I've just made a change so that Lock will now automatically be Cmd+L and Unlock will be Shift+Cmd+L. This means I've removed the shortcut Cmd+L for Levels adjustment - something which I would not use all the time, so having a shortcut did not help me, whereas Locking is far more common... Hope that's okay :)
  14. It will definitely have strong search/replace functionality for matching all sorts of patterns/attributes... but not just yet - we need to make sure the core application is right before adding more to it.
  15. Hi Laurent, I think we fully intend to keep things as they are :) I know I've struggled in other apps too! Cheers, Matt
  16. Hi Laurent, That's great to hear! We're aiming to get Affinity Photo ready for beta after Designer is released on the Mac App Store. We're obviously keen to release it but we won't do so until it's definitely ready - we only want to make apps that we're proud of and confident in :) Thanks again, Matt
  17. Hi there Jack, Yes, I definitely remember you and all the help you gave us over the years! :) Really hope you're well - glad you found Affinity and here's hoping you're enjoying it! Speak to you soon, Matt
  18. Looking good so far - I just want to see the finished article! :) I like the use of pressure profiles on your lines to give the cartoon look! Matt
  19. That's a mighty impressive drawing - top marks! :)
  20. Either, Andy is obsessed with ninjas (which I don't think he is) or maybe he's hinting he has been tinkering a bit...
