  1. Hi Jack, I see an in-place video from the Vimeo Affinity channel in my post - I'm guessing you're not seeing that? Oh well - here's an actual link to it Thanks, Matt EDIT - Miguel beat me to it! Again! ;)
  2. I was actually planning on doing this today... Guess I better get typing! :)
  3. That's not good news at all - is there any chance you'd consider sending them to support@seriflabs.com and we can take a look at them and see if it's possible to diagnose what's going wrong and try to see if there's any way we can recover them? Are you using the beta version or the Mac App Store version (both should be reliable, but it's obviously useful for us to know more about the problem) Thanks, Matt
  4. Yes! :) Misc.afbrushes.zip ...although it exhibits a weird behaviour when the line caps are not set to 'butt' type - I'll fix that in a minute, sorry... :S Cheers, Matt
  5. Yes, I'm always doing about 10 different things at any given moment - sometimes I can talk about them, sometimes I can't... Speaking of which, have you spotted the iPad teaser I filmed the other day? :D
  6. I've always been impressed by your finished works, Jack - and this is no exception! Congratulations - a great illustration! :)
  7. In fact... if you keep an eye out on the beta updates, you might find that German translation is coming quite soon (to beta, at least)...
  8. Hi osang, You should be able to reliably use the current Designer beta version for your needs... as long as you remember the small caveat just above - that the swatch of 'black' in the 'swatches' panel is actually RGB black by mistake, so just add your own CMYK black to your swatch and use that instead. Other than that, things should act as you'd imagine. Thanks, Matt
  9. Wow - striking, bold and colourful! And very nicely arranged in layers, if I may say! :)
  10. Yeah, I really like this! Great work! :) Just had a look at your Christmas Birds series on Behance - it's brilliant!
  11. Nice work, David :) We'll be putting them in as soon as we can - I'm really sorry about the workarounds in the meantime :(
  12. Oh wow! Another brilliant photo-realistic drawing - this is great! Well done! :)
  13. That's a brilliant drawing - really like it! :)
  14. And.... ...I've fallen off my chair! How on Earth you've done that, I have no idea - it looks great! :D
  15. Hi Quarter, If you're able to share a .afdesign file with us that shows the problem then I'm sure we can try to help :) It doesn't have to be the full file - just the bit you're having a problem with :) Thanks, Matt
  16. Hey, that looks great Ogma! :) If you wanted to give the latest beta a whirl, you should find that there's dashed lines now :) The other things will come in time - we're typing as quickly as we can and we're obviously very motivated! :) Thanks, Matt
  17. Hi Hokusai, It looks like you've found a bug - it'll be easily rectified. No, that swatch is supposed to be CMYK(0,0,0,100) and the white is obviously just supposed to be CMYK(0,0,0,0) and I think it's unfortunately just defaulting to RGB white and black, which converted to CMYK makes the colour you're seeing, sorry :( We'll get this last bit sorted soon - thanks for letting us know! :) Matt
  18. Brilliant article, Paolo - WOW! I've also just spotted your review of Affinity Designer on your site as well - thank you! :D
  19. Hi Carole, When you make a document, we offer a number of settings - one of them is the colour model. Choose CMYK for a CMYK document - all operations are always done end-to-end in CMYK space, properly colour managed and output to your printer or PDF as CMYK data. You can also output as CMYK TIFF and CMYK EPS, I think. We don't support multiple pages yet, but we will do - hopefully quite soon. AI can open PDF files or EPS, so just go to File->Export in Affinity Designer and choose either of those options. If you have any problems then it's worth looking at the latest beta version of Affinity Designer as it has improvements in these areas. If you hit Cmd+R you'll toggle the visibility of the rulers. I don't know what you mean by 'Cut content tool'? Text on a path has been requested previously and will arrive in the not-too-distant future. Any more questions, just let us know! :) Thanks, Matt
