  1. I think we are now on the trail of the mystery. 😎 That's because your preference "Color" settings. Uncheck "Associate OpenEXR alpha channels" That option is needed if you are using straight alpha instead of premultiplied alpha.
  2. Don't know what the problem is on your side. I just testet your example and it works as you expect it:
  3. Here is an example for a real Cryptomatte workflow (Not Affinity related of course):
  4. Unfortunately just a lousy workaround that uses flood selections in the Cryptomatte preview channel to create masks. This has nothing to do with what Cryptomatte actually is, or how it works.
  5. I'd say the problem is that Affinity doesn't really support Cryptomatte, unfortunately. But it would be great if it did.
  6. @ Old Bruce: Yes, of course that's possible, but unfortunately it's a bit cumbersome because, in contrast to Affinity Designer where you can select all layers with a hotkey, it's unfortunately necessary in Affinity Photo to first go to the "Select" menu to choose "Select All Layers" to accomplish the same. I wouldn't call that a workflow. Yes, of course you can define a custom shortcut but to be honest I also prefer to avoid non-standard hotkeys. @ carl123: Maybe worth a try. As a workaround for now. Although I'm of the opinion that this should actually be an out-of-the-box standard functionality. Hence the feature request.
  7. Yes thank you, I know that, but that's not the same. 😉 Please take a look at the other three posts above and you'll see that this was mentioned two years ago as well. But that's actually a different feature.
  8. I second that feature request! I know this thread is two years old but unfortunately it still doesn't work. An Alt-click directly on a layer check mark should turn all the other layers off and another Alt-click on that same hook icon should turn them on again like in Photoshop with their eye symbol.
  9. I think the title says it all. In fact that's the main missing feature I'm waiting for since I use it (since it's available for Windows) because it's the main reason why I can't disregard Photoshop completely yet. I really hope this'll be addressed soon. Kind regards, Tom
  10. I'm really looking forward to interactive canvas rotation (like in Photoshop or Painter) preferably also by a hotkey (e.g.: [R]) in Affinity Photo and Designer. The two (or actually three) commands in the view menu are better than nothing but nonetheless a pain to use. I assigned some hotkeys to the relevant commands for now (rotate left: [PageUp], rotate right: [PageDn], reset rotation [Home]) and that's okay for the time being but I still hope that's just needed as a temporary solution.
