Looks cool but very unstable. Crashes a lot. :(

I'm still trying my best for tomorrow - it depends how things work out. Worst case is Monday, hopefully. Don't hold me to it, etc, etc - but I'm trying very hard to make it happen tomorrow :)

I believe your issue will be addressed when we add linked files (rather than just embedded files) to Affinity apps.

personally, would not want that to change.

 

I was asking for some options to save by default to whatever format you need/want instead of the AP format. My issue is that I need PSD specifically(most of the time with 3D stuff). So I press save and the saved file is loaded automatically in some other app. Ideally it would work fine the other way around as well. Whenever I make changes and save them, AP detects the new file and makes changes in it’s layer system.

 

With export I have to manually got through several steps to get same effects.

I think someone brought this request before. Basically I need some way to set what format AP saves when I press Cmd S. For example it could be PSD or PDF. 

 

Now I am aware that AP can’t save some specific functions that are not present in other apps. What I am asking for is even the possibility to save basic pixel layers only. This is needed when working in conjunction with other 3D apps where a 3D artist goes between PS & the other software to texture paint. 

 

Right now I constantly have to Save As to preview then go to the other app and change the file again.

Err... 'yes', actually... (on the App preview side of the question)... but you'll have to wait until the latter part of the beta before it (and the associated parts of Designer 1.5) becomes available :)

 

And the code generator?

Can you provide more detail? I just tried placing text inside a shape and the text alignment works as it should unless you can provide screenshots of what you are attempting to do in AD.

 

I noticed the same thing as he did. If I convert the text to curves and compare the alignment to same object, it is definitely different. Depending on the text size it can be quite a lot.

In last beta version whenever I click in some value input box, after I typed the value and click somewhere else, the value changes automatically usually with 1 unit more. 

 

Fix, it’s really annoying. :/

I can’t delete the global color in full screen mode also in latest beta.

Although you are swapping the fill and line colours, behind the scenes you are technically assinging a new colour to each. This is the same as having both objects selected and manually setting a colour, it applies to both objects. I notice other apps get around this by disabling the option, perhaps this is something we should consider.

 

I expect them to keep the color individually, not get assigned a random color one of the objects already has. Some option to disable current behaviour would be welcomed.

guys what’s going on? I reported the bug where AD crashes when attempting to make new folder while in the finder window(for opening/saving to a location) long time ago. Still happens in latest beta.

I've seen the time displayed with a full stop plenty of times. I think it looks cleaner however I normally see it followed by am/pm. I believe we only started using colons when digital displays replaced mechanical digital displays.
