  1. Devs add more shortcuts :) Other, the add shortcuts requests will spam the forum threads. Might add a few extra myself...just to make sure you add them :D
  2. Ok MEB attached it. It definitely works in AI and it sees them as compound shapes. stuff.svg
  3. Sure MEB :) Here are 4 sample icons. Even in SVG AI sees them as compound paths. However AD does not. test.afdesign
  4. Guys you forget the crappy GPU driver support from both Nvidia and AMD on linux.
  5. Except that it doesn’t work. :( The option is disabled.
  6. Is a new beta coming out today? Where are those improved grids and snapping? :)
  7. Hi, We need an option to subdivide all paths like add points in AI in object menu. Basically you get a point in the middle for a line at subdiv 1, then 2 points distributed between the start and end point of the line at subdiv 2 and so on. This is useful for adding more points distributed at equal distances and for making more advanced shapes. Thanks
  8. No you didn’t get me :) I have another SVG with all the icons. Even saved it as an AD file. My issue is that some of the icons are compound shapes(AI name). Example would be a filled circle with a hole in a cross shape. In AI you can release that object in it’s component parts which would be the filled circle + cross shape(just one example could be even 4-5 shapes) . Even the node tool AI version called the direct selection tool when you press Alt selects all the nodes of only the individual component shape(circle or the cross in this case). So in AD now things are very troublesome. You can either select all the nodes present with Cmd + A which is not what I need or just select all the needed points manually which is a pain in the a** :) . There is no marque select in the node tool like in the DS tool in AI, which makes things even worse. I sometimes take pieces of existing icons to make new ones when needed. Currently what is piece of cake in AI is a nightmare in AD. Does that make any sense?
  9. Hi, Copy/Paste Link from web results in embedded images in AD. Or maybe some safari/chrome plugin to have right click option to place automatically in AD or AP new or active tab. Des can you make it possible? :) Thanks, Vlad
  10. X only switches between fill and stroke being active. What we need is Shift + X to replace the stroke color with the fill and the fill color with the stroke one.
  11. Hi, Styles don’t recall text settings. Is this a missing feature or a bug? Thanks, Vlad
  12. And that was my next complaint about AD and AI as well. When grid snapping or forced pixel alignment are enabled snapping stops working. It is just impossible to work with for UI design. Snapping has to work when forced pixel is enabled.
  13. Maybe the solution would be to make AD symbol like object aware. Like for example detect same shape objects which only differ in scale/rotation or color for example. Same could be done for imported rounded shapes. Estimate the rounded amount and convert them to procedural corner tool mode in AD. I got a bunch of shapes in my AI files which I can’t round at all. Des what do you think? Anything like this would massively improve the ability to import/convert files to AD formats. Although you would need symbols, multiple artboards, transform tool and any other equivalents in AI to make it work perfect.
  14. and pleaseeeeee add a shortcut for that eye dropper tool + instant apply just like in AI.
  15. Macs rulzs :D OSX is lovely Affinity with no subscriptions is AWESOME :)
  16. Hey guys, As the title says can’t figure it out. Have some SVG’s with icon packs and can’t release compound shapes like in AI. And making marque selections with the node tool also seems impossible. Have to select and each individual point which is a pain. Cheers, Vlad
