v_kyr got a reaction from nickg in Help Content
Well usually you don't need server farms in order to index a finite number of HTML text pages in an appropriate way here. Instead it's more a matter of the used help systems and it's used algorithms for indexing and of course to be diligent yourself when include additional tags and metadata for accurate indexing purposes.
Apple - Indexing Your Help Book Google also does it automatically and algorithmic. Further think about having a bad bandwidth or no internet at all under certain situations, of what help is Google then?
Siri can you hear me? - Oh damn no internet connection ...

v_kyr got a reaction from annaisabel in Affinity RAW help
Well APh as default opens RAWs in a let's say more neutral way (thus more dull looking), meaning here it doesn't apply any auto levels, brightness, contrast and presharpening to RAW images as other RAW converters do for certain vendor cams RAW files. You have to adjust these yourself (for a series of images under the same or similar lighting conditions) and make a preset for your cam for later reuse.
If you apply some adjustments you will get similar results.
For applying LUTs see ...
Affinity Photo - LUTs for Tonal Adjustments

Well maybe the previous poster is asking instead for the macro file, aka to add it here to your initial posting ?!

And for bulk/mass image resize handling the "File -> New batch processing" jobs can be used.

v_kyr got a reaction from R C-R in Fujifilm XT-100 RAF
In case you mean a Fuji X-T100 then it should be supported at least by the Apple RAW engine under macOS Mojave (and also High Sierra). You would have to switch the Affinity Photo RAW engine to the Apple one via the APh Assistant Manager, restart and give it a try.

v_kyr got a reaction from Steps in 'Books' and longer documents with sections
Honestly it always depends what one wants to do and understands when using the term "books" here. Most publishing software like maybe InDesign, Quark (and hopefully one day APublisher) can be used for creating brochures, flyers, prospects, shorter manuals etc. But for huge technical publications or >1000 pages books there are other tools ofter better suited than InDesign and Co.
See for example a related theme here ...
... or something like ...
FrameMaker 2017 and InDesign CC comparison for technical documentation (PDF file) For desktop publishing projects like huge technical publications, or huge books with realy many pages, there is other dedicated software much more suited for. - Like FrameMaker for example.

v_kyr got a reaction from pixelsaurus in Macros and Library
Yes it usually does, though it is always a good idea to also keep a backup of the Macro Pack distribution zip-file.

v_kyr got a reaction from RoLa in Seitenzahlen bei Publisher
-
v_kyr got a reaction from RoLa in Seitenzahlen bei Publisher

v_kyr got a reaction from davidlower8 in Slice size, in Export Persona, too big when using adjustment layer
Check the associated export preset by selecting/clicking on a slice.
Further you can double click into the shown [1x ] text field and edit the 1x value there to the desired exact "700w, 367h" (width, height) size you want!
-
v_kyr got a reaction from davidlower8 in Exporting multiple files at smaller sizes
Double click into the shown [1x ] text field and edit the 1x value there to the desired XXXw, XXXh (width, height) size. Do that on every field for all 4-5 different sizes you want!

v_kyr reacted to VectorWhiz in Vector portrait of a wolf
Vector portrait of a wolf - zero pixels, 100% vector. Created in Affinity Designer with Huion H610 Pro tablet, which was some sort of a struggle since the rendering of drawn lines was extremely slow. I may one day next year add more detail and correct errors, but for now I am fed up. Progress sequence and explanation in my blog:

v_kyr reacted to Fixx in Color swatches do not link to objects?
Swatches is quite bad design at the moment. It should be much easier to drag colours to swatches and define them global.
Possibly all swatches should be global from the start, and if you need to keep some elements with original colour you just make a copy of a colour for editing.

No there aren't those text size toggle buttons any longer in the actual APh beta (though I looked into the Win beta version here instead).
