  1. Uhh... Yeah... "by GDrive" I mean Google Drive. LOL. Ahh yes the "file stub" 🤔 Why didn't I think of the "file stub?" Now I get it. Brilliant! Thanks. 😁 (why do I EVER come back to forums for help?)
  2. Walt... I save them on 'C' in the GDrive folder. I recovered my files 'believe it or not'. I went to online GDrive (which are basically the same files backed up) and took a shot by downloading them all and replacing the doc folders for the Affinity apps... and lo & behold they all opened. ?????????????? I don't get it. They're the same files. Backed up to the same location I've ALWAYS used with no problem. But now they work. ???? Any Ideas that can help my brain reset to 'somewhat' normal? OH.... Windows 11
  3. I've got the best yet.... EVERY ONE OF MY FILES REPORTS THIS ERROR!!!!!!!! I can't open ONE of them. This is all I get... The file appears to be truncated (shorter than expected). And it only appeared after the last couple of updates. So all I can say to this is.... "now what?" I'm just shaking my head laughing at the irony of how excited I was with the Affinity apps, and how that was going to change so much for the better for me and... opps, wrong again. And If I get a response from anyone here that... "you should always do this, or that" or "in the future" or "well I always do this" or "well, its always worked fine for me" or "check your system, it could be causing".... I swear I'm gonna jump through the monitor and grab you by the throat until you turn pink. Have a nice day...
  4. I've been quietly waiting and watching to see if there would be a fix for this installer problem. I happily paid for the new versions immediately upon release. And guess what? I haven't even been able to use the apps once. My patience has worn thin. It's very very disappointing that when one thinks/believes they've found a great, dependable, trustworthy, forward-looking company... They turn out to be just like other uncaring, unresponsive companies. Well at least for two of the programs... I've been able to replace. For Affinity Photo... ACDSee Photo Studio is (for me) fantastic... Very powerful and, are you ready...? Fun to use... And I won't care about or miss Designer because I have my Xara Designer Pro... Both these programs satisfy all MY needs. And as far as the money spent on the upgrade? C'est la Vie I hope Serif Infinity makes good use of my money.... It's a gift from me. Cliff
  5. Gee thanks walt.... I would have never thought about doing a G search for that. Thank goodness I posted here and received your suggestion. Ya know, for years I generally stay out of forums because as the case here, one rarely gets any help. (Hope never dies) Because I find that that people that post the most and answer every little thing just seem to want to be seen and heard and hardly ever offer 'real' help. I think they just have no life, and these forums are a place to feel important for them. Cheers!
  6. Hi walt.farrell this is the full message App installation failed with error message: error 0x800706D9: While processing the request, the system failed to register the windows.firewall extension due to the following error: There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper.
  7. I have completely disabled all security... performed 'scandisk' and many more windows troubleshooting... but no good. Can't get them to install. I have the latest installers... but they all end with the above message. Any thoughts & help would be much appreciated... OH! BTW... just out of curiosity I tried ver. 1. And they all installed easily with no hitch. Thank you! Cliff

So 1.10.5 released and the FIRST on the list of fixes is this: Fixed registration failure (will now use the browser to complete registration, rather than attempt it in-app) LOL... was so happy to see this... until I began to register (all 3 apps) and surprise!!! It's Not fixed... What's the problem/big deal to get this done?
