    The one image used is 155MB. My point though is that the size of the layout, with or without embedded images, is approximately the same size. If the file is linked, the Affinity Publisher file (large) and the linked image (large) both need to be send for output (if printing). If so, the files will be double the size that they should be. The Publisher size should be about 5 MB.

    WordHammer reacted to kenmcd in Font problem - Designer and Publisher
    Some of the Interstate font collections floating around out there are a real mess inside the files.
    Some are older TTF fonts. Some are OTF-TT fonts. Some are converted Type1 fonts.
    All of them I have looked at have severe naming issues.
    Even the newer Font Bureau versions I have looked at are just a mess.
    Be happy to look at yours and tell you why they are not working.
    Send me a PM with a link.
    Can probably fix them for you.
    Like I said I have versions that are TTF, OTF, T1, names Interstate, InterstatePlus, GLInterstate, etc.
    All pretty much a mess by modern standards.
    FOSS alternatives: Overpass, Route 159 - have tested both families in LibreOffice (LO).
    Both have minor name issues which affect LO on Windows, but should work properly in APub.
    Commercial alternative: Expressway (some weird issues, but not the newest fonts)

    Hm... So I think the problem is spelling dictionary bacause hyphenation file has same structure as LO hyph file.
    EDIT: I checked it, in fact, this is hyphenation dic problem. I installed only hyphenation dictionary file and the AP crashed while tried to use auto-hyphenation. Sorry, this is the only one dict file in web I found. I will try to find another one on my CD's, I remember I have the dictionary files prepared for Apache Open Office I used for Finnish when I worked for an advertising agency from Turku. It was very useful because I can only say hello and say goodbye in Finnish. I will try to find these files but it can take a long time.

    Definitely need data merge. Would be ideal to plug in a spreadsheet or csv/tsv file.

    I use the data merge tool daily to create QR-codes in a batch or load data into a pdf. I think this is not present in the beta build?

    Hello, one more vote for "data merge" tool like in InDesign. I use this function mostly for designing business cards and small catalogs, labels for boxes etc ... Everything, that have same desing and elements, that change always on same places and can be read frome some kind of database.

    @kirknurse:
    Go to View > Show Bleed and You'll see the bleeds. (Snapping to bleeds works fine for me)

    @Grunta
    Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums
    There should be updates every few weeks, as often as enough issues have been addressed, so the first should be ready this week with over 50 issues addressed and some excellent improvements too

    The bleed should be visible in the document to place elements better.

    Along with bleed preview bleed set up in the new document set up dialog is missing in the beta. I'm guessing this will be on the development roadmap

    Hi - major important feature would have to be bleed view, being able to work out how much bleed is on one edge to the other is important in large exhibition / packaging projects.
    Also be nice to be able to set bleeds up when setting new doc / page all in one place.
