Hi, I'm Gregg. I am new to DrawPlus. I've looked  at it for a few years but always decided against it because it was Windows based. I've have always had Parallels installed on my iMac but thought using software more native to the Mac (a lot more efficient to use). I am retired and  dabble in art. My favorite software has been Sketchbook Pro and ArtRage. As for Vector programs for the Mac, they are limited. I have and used iDraw and Artboard. Both have their pluses and minus. So, a couple of days ago I decided to dip my toes in the water and bought DrawPlus 5 to see if I really like working with it on Parallels. I knew from previous experience that it was a really good program that fit in with what I like to do. I made my first entry in the DrawPlus forum and was told about DrawPlus (Beta) on the Mac. I've beta tested for a couple of CADD program and thought this would be fun. I'm looking forward to this program because the Mac needs a really good vector drawing program like DrawPlus.

I am just starting to play around with the pencil, pen, and brush and noticed that the lines are smoothing. Do you plan on having a smoothing control for those tools? For drawing, this would be important not to have my lines straighten-out. 
Also,while going through the help menu I hit the back arrow in the upper left corner and it does not take me back to the page I entered from. Example, after selecting "About lines and shapes," I hit the back arrow and I don't return to were I can select "About lines and Shapes." I return to "Visual References."
On the positive note, I love the ability to be able to use vector and raster in the same software. That is an all in one drawing program.

I thought I would come back to this subject again because more and more I have seen the need for smoothing. I just can't understand why Affinity Designer does not have that ability. Other programs use it with great success. It is very useful when drawing freehand. It takes time to have to alway go back and correct a line. Please reconsider this. I think there are a lot of other people that would like to have the smoothing ability.

Do you have any plans for a Fill tool (Bucket) for Affinity? There are times it can be very useful.

I think I may have mentioned this before without getting any feedback, but I would really like to have a tab/place to save symbol/shapes we create. A lot of software programs have Shape Libraries where they can save and categorize shapes. This makes it so easy to grab a shape and insert into the picture and save a shape we created while drawing a picture.

Buy a bigger SSD drive..... . You've got to feed the addiction..more, more more.

One thing I think I found out is the Properties selection does not show up on a Group of Groups...Which could make sense.

Absolutely love Affinity Designer. I'm relatively new to design, digital art but have been drawing and painting for many years. 
Just did this little simple design so wanted to share it with you all.
I hope to keep this design journey going  Been totally engrossed and inspired by a course on Affinity Designer that I'm enrolled in on Udemy.

A work in progress from another design.

Hi, here's my first design with affinity photo and an ipad pro 2018.
I'm a textile designer for fashion and home home design.
I love the affinity brushes, before i worked with a cintiq and photoshop but since this design i switched to affinity photo and ipadpro.
At the begining i thought that i would use procreate but for my needs i prefer affinity photo105 master Copier.afphoto

I have to agree with you Jan. As I have said earlier, it seems, all of their work has gone toward the iPad version of AD and I would guess their next release: Publisher. I find it funny because I sit and watch all of the requests for updates and fixes, but nothing is happening. I wonder if they have too many irons in the fire for their workforce? They do have a  good product for the price. but there is still a lot to accomplish for the people they are trying to reach.
