I am trying to get the nodes on top and side to show where the center points are so I can use them when alignment is correct. I don't want to drag the ruler guides down into the picture.

When opening Affinity Photo where do you click to confirm the version you are running and what is the newest version running now?

I am trying to use ANY of tools in Liquify Persona and none are working on a Pixel Layer. I tried even redoing by rasterizing the layer and still no results. Please if you have a solution to getting all the tools working in Liquify Persona give a STEP BY STEP fix as I follow step by step of videos on youtube. I am using Windows 10 and version 1.8.2.620 in Affinity Photo.

When in the program do you check to see what version you currently have and where do you click to download in the program later updates of Affinity Photo?

Would like to see Affinity PHOTO add option to type text on a path. Example draw a path with pen took and come back and type text on the path drawn.

I am having trouble getting "Claiming Your Content" after downloading the new updates on Affinity. I guess I am confused wondering if the forum password signin is the same as trying to sign in claiming your content? I tried resetting my password and it does not work and at loss how to continue with "Claiming Your Content". If I have to make a new password what is the link to setup it for Claiming Your Content?

You are so knowledgeable with the forum and helped me out so many times. I thought they was a search engine box so you could search for items like pen tool & etc. but have not found the link where this is possible?

THANKS FOR THE REPLY & I VIEW THEM PRIOR TO POSTING. When I am on the background layer and use the lasso tool I am not making the selection right even thou trying new selection, adding, with any of the selection tools like free hand selection. I Duplicated background copy and still no results. I added a pixel layer and still no results so wanted to see a video and found the two you replied with. On the selection tools I have tried lasso, free hand, and etc with no results. I even brought up a picture and tried the free hand selection tool on the eyes to adjust but the marching ants does to appear when closing the circle. What is really puzzling to me is on a blank white page 8 1/2 x 11 the rectangle tool, Elliptical tool, & lasso works????

What is the link to get to Affinity Photo forum so I can search for certain items such as the lasso too, pen tool & etc.??? Hints by other users of tool usage.

Is they a way to tell if you are trying to assign a shortcut key if it has been used?

I tried to find a video explaining the difference between using the Color Replacement Tool and using Paint Brush tool. I made a selection and tried the Color Replacement tool thinking if you click on the selection it would pain the whole selection with that color but instead had to paint over the whole selection like when using the Paint Brush Tool. I added a new pixel layer and also tried it on the background layer. It seems to me that I must be doing something wrong or they are the same?

You amaze me, on the left I selected the white pattern which took me forever to make it a different color. I selected the rob and did it. Wish I knew you 30 second way. I used the smart selection tool and selected the robe and colored it. Yes I want to recolor both of the robes and make the lines on the right better to show and color the faces (this is the hardest part for me so it looks like natural skin). I did recolor their hair with brown tones. Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for the Information. My mother & her sister are shown below. Both are deceased now. They are standing side by side as seen below. I am trying very hard to color the picture and on the creases in rob on the right (Mom) when I filled in with a color of the robe the robe was so dim it just doesn't look right. .So I was attempting to use the pen tool to make them more vivid. I found a way to doe this but I am sure they are many better ways to do this. The method listed below is how I attempted this task 1. Open the file and choose the Pen Tool 2. I clicked on the collar on left side down to right side where collar from left side meets using 3 nodes. 3. I then click on the View tool and added a pixel layer 4. I added a new Pixel layer 5. Hit P to make new selection around the right color across and down to left collar & clicked on the stroke slide bar and increase the pixels width of selection. 6. I proceeded this way adjusting pixel width and adding a new pixel layer on each new selection; 7. This worked as a work around but I am sure they are better ways to do this. Any Comments to improve would be greatly appreciated as this picture I am trying hard to color and make it look as originally as I can. Love Affinity but I have so much to learn. Picture on the left is before and the other is after in the steps listed above.

I see with your demonstration above that it is best to use pixels. However I am not familiar to figure out the size of pixels equal to how many inches. In the future I could look in Document Resize and swithch back and forth to see the comparison.
