It took a while to draw all this in Affinity Designer on my iPad. Wasn't sure how it would work and I am enjoying seeing what I can get out of this way of working.

    ---
    Hi,
We are pleased to announce that an updated customer beta of Affinity Publisher (1.7.2.458) is now available as a download from the link above.
If this is your first time using a customer beta of an Affinity app please note that the beta will install as a separate app alongside your store version. They will not interfere with each other at all and you can continue to use the store version for critical work without worry.
The beta is an incremental update to the 1.7.1 store version. We recommend that you use this beta in preference to your store version if you are affected by any of the issues listed below.
If you have any problems using this version please make a new topic in this forum and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Please feel free to leave general suggestions and comments in the Discussion Forum.

    StudioLink
StudioLink has been updated to improve reliability in this Beta but still requires the latest Beta versions of Designer and Photo to function (and for you to be a customer of those applications).

    Hi all !
I'm just adding my voice for this feature  It would be very useful.  But like others pointed out, there are many features to add to Designer and it's impossible to add everything at the same time

Thanks for sharing the link  I used this website in the past and it works great!

I am not, and that's also the case for the majority of people on this planet. I don't need to label myself to not treat women or other races like crap. Either way, I am not here to discuss politics on a forum about editing software. If you want to advocate for social justice, then learn to pick your battles, because this was not relevant to the topic in the slightest, and you even got the facts wrong about the people involved, making you look like an absolute fool.
Anyway, I've said enough about this, since I don't want to derail this anymore than you already did.

I'm really trying my best to not get personal in these discussions. Criticising Serif and their lack of transparency is one thing. I genuinely think @Mithferion means well which is more than I can say for some others. Saying that I do wish @haakoo would stop reacting negatively to basically every post I have made (since the debate about the definition of 'prevaricate') without actually engaging.
The crazy thing is that I think EVERYONE actually wants these features and wants them as soon as possible. The lack of info coming out of Serif is what is causing these discussions to spiral out of control.

Mithferion sounds very passive aggressive and condescending dont you think Robinp and his wording.. "I want you to have..." is the company line methinks.  DXF export is A BASIC FEATURE in every other vector graphics design package  that purports to be "professional". Despite giving us "free" updates (are we supposed to be grateful they are remedying their omissions? ) they still haven't delivered what was originally promised. DXF output. That virtually makes this product unfit for purpose. Maybe its money back time.

Likewise. After reading through the last few pages those comments of yours stuck out like a sour thumb in an otherwise decent discussion.

RIGHT, and nice one to get personal.
I happen to have been negative in the last few days out of frustration. That's not always the case or have you read every post I've ever written? Some on the other hand waste their time attacking those who are providing feedback or even more pointless, just being sycophantic.
Basic features? Select by stroke / colour etc in Designer is basic in my opinion. It's like having a word processor without a find tool.
This being another. DXF is an extremely old industry standard format. I think it is a basic interchange format for vector artwork.
Let's stick to the topic rather than attacking others shall we?

I'd suggest to approach these topics from a wider scope that just our needs, and statements based on out needs.
Also, I'm not saying that they don't add support for this. Even if I don't have any use for it right now, I want them to add it at some point, because I believe it's going to be benefitial, for the users and for the health of the Suite. It's just that when people say "it's a basic feature" it sounds more like "I use it, so you should develop it for me first".
While I get that it's important for you, and I want you to have the Tools available, the way we express ourselves can make things harder. And there are ways to manage frustration, because it's a bittersweet trap that is hard to get out from.
    Best regards!

And what percentage of those new customers find themselves in the same boat as many others here - that they now have purchased a product which is unusable in many projects for which they purchased it? Increased purchases does not equal active users.
This is my circumstance: I cannot use AD for many of my projects just for this missing feature. And having no commitment - or even recognition of its inclusion on the timeline -  from the developers for the implementation of this (most requested) feature makes me unwilling to put in the effort to learn a new software package, when I may never be able to utilize it fully.
My hope, and that of many others here, is to avoid the Adobe extortion/rental situation. Sadly, AD is not the solution to that.

Nope. I do use Designer a little. I like variety. I don’t like incomplete tools and inflated marketing though so as a paying customer I leave my feedback here too.
It is all part of “the feedback loop” that I personally learned to love many years ago. Even when the messages were rude or harsh. Because people could be right nonetheless. And there was the key to progress. I learned very little from fanboys and likes.
