Move Along People reacted to AlainP in Tablet issue beta's 665 and 663 aPh/aDe/Apub
Latest Photo and Designer .665 beta versions also make my Bamboo tablet work badly. Alt-Right Click (on pen) doesn't work anymore and when hovering over the canva without drawing while "force pressure" button is on, the brush pointer flashes rapidly and it is very unbearable.
I use a Wacom Bamboo CTH-470 with latest drivers that support Windows 10.
I know that my tablet is getting old, but it works very well with all other software I use and in previous betas and release versions of Photo and Designer. The disapperance of the "Windows Ink" option in these latest betas is now a turn off for me.

Wonder if you have really read my post! SAFARI HAS IMPLEMENTED WEBP IN THEIR LATEST SAFARI BROWSER AND THAT IMPLICATES THAT ALL BROWSERS CAN READ WEBP! That's great news and the reason I started this topic.
You don't have to tell me what to do on this forum! Are you the forum police? Start your own topic and skip this one!
So it has nothing to do with a point made because the implementation of webp in Safari is new!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone has there favorites but among the most frequently requested are PDF passthrough & improved PDF import/export handling; the ability to find & replace colors & particularly to convert swatch colors to global colors; support for more Photoshop plugins; support for (many!) more functions in macros; a real scripting language to replace or supplement macros; multiple RAW development improvements including sidecar support for end-to-end non-destructive development; animation; built-in DAM-like features; & several others.
Spend a little time browsing through the Feature request forums & you should be able to find quite a few others.
Apart from that, please keep in mind that if you want WebP formatted files for your web site or whatever, right now you do have the option to use other apps for that, including free ones that offer hands-off automated workflows when combined with the Export Persona's continuous export option.

Regarding how widely WebP actually is used as an image format on websites, it seems @Patrick Connor is correct about that: https://w3techs.com/technologies/history_overview/image_format/all

Move Along People reacted to NoSi in WebP in Affinity Photo
To be honest, webp for me primarily is relevant because of SEO and website use. This is the reason why I miss it in Photo.
It is a matter of respect and consideration for my website visitors that I keep their data volume as small as possible, especially if they want to visit my pages with their mobile phone.
webp offers the possibility to save a lot of bandwidth with comparable presentation to jpeg or png. So a modern pixel graphics tool should support this format.
Nobody here demands that other formats should be abandoned or replaced with it. It is only a matter of offering webp additionally, so that photo as a tool remains interesting for web workers.
