    A Ctrl Run up will literally clear your settings, so that is why the folder gets emptied. The issue was that if you don't have that value set it was crashing trying to set it. So a ctrl-run up would clear it and then fail to set and get stuck in a crashing loop!

    I do ctrl+runup>reboot at every new beta to make sure it has the new features stick and have a clean install.
    Shouldn't it revert to a default state and leave the xml files with the basic settings?

    Latest nvidia drivers 461.40
    Latest physx version 09.19.0218
    Ctrl+runup = no go
    Run as administrator = no go
    Renamed beta folder to beta old = no go
    No cl.dat is created

  3. Did a ctrl+runup after installation and rebooted,still no go.
    The release version works, the beta 1.9.1.943 works, all with HA on nvidia gtx1050ti with not latest driver
    Latest betas for designer and photo does not work.
    Have currently a win update with .net version in the background
    Also I'll update nvidia drivers to latest
    This gave me a suggested new physx version which I'll also update
