    Oh well, I know some tools don't save defaults.  :{

I'm afraid you'll just have to wait for the next release. Saving defaults for tools was discussed recently by someone from Serif, so hopefully not too long to wait.

I really hope so. I several months ago completely passed from PS to AP. I like a lot, but some moments are still very raw.

Sorry, i could not see what actual settings you used on the video. Resolution a bit too low for my ageing eyesight.

But I just made a brush with the settings below

    settings.png.72113fa9c1f5e1425073c7e325e9d6d0.png

I then went, Edit > Defaults > Save and quit the program. Next time I loaded Affinity and loaded a document, it had all those brush settings and the colour.

    Affinity 1.5.2.69

For the mix brush does not work.

Did you try Edit > Defaults > Save ?

However, some settings do save, some don't. Serif are apparently working on improving this.

    While everything looks very sad.
Even during one session, the settings are not synchronized.
If you want to make one photo, then AP copes with its task.
The processing of large groups of photographs reveals a variety of inconveniences.

On the video example of the settings that I need to save.

On the video example of the settings that I need to save.
I noticed one more feature. On an empty document, you can not download a missing color.

  4. The task is to process more than 1000 photos.
For retouching, you need a mix brush with certain settings (flow, Strenght, Auto Load Brush, Mode: RGB). When you save a brush, the settings (Strenght, Auto Load Brush, Mode: RGB) are not saved. It is necessary at each opening of the document to reconfigure the brush. Is this a bug or is there a variation how to solve this problem?

  5. Hi m850,

I see that video was uploaded before we released 1.6.0.75. Does it still happen in that build? Does it still happen if you check or uncheck Preferences > Tools > High precision table input?

For version 1.6.0.75 this problem is relevant. I did not shoot the video again and reboot.

Setting a checkmark does not affect the appearance of this problem.

The remaining problems are considered by the developers? I wrote back about them a long time ago, but they are from version to version still relevant.

  6. Bugs that have not been fixed since version 1.5.
    1. The HSL layer settings affect the color of the inpainting brush.

    2. If the image is cropped and then apply filter apply image, then it spontaneously scales.

    3. The brush size settings from the keyboard are not synchronized with the brush settings from the panel.

    4. Tablet. Touching with minimal force pressing draws a point with no minimum diameter. If you change the force of pressing, then the size of the point changes proportionally to the force of pressing. If you try to put a point, then the size of the brush is not proportional to the force of pressing.

  7. Create the design, or at least the text element/s, as a symbol.

    Thank you!

Is there a possibility that only the content would change? What would each business card and text retain its styles of shaping? It turns out that in one business card changed the font, changed in all. I would like to make it so that you could have one and the same tex could be embedded in a different design with minimal effort.

  8. Before uploading to the stock, I retouch some photos in the AP. The source files weigh 3-5 MB, after pressing the combination Ctrl + S, the files begin to weigh 10-12 megabytes. How do I change the default save settings? So far I've found only export, but it's not very convenient.
If there is no such possibility, then the topic can be sent to the request for functions.

  9. Hi m850

The cursor size does not vary with the pen pressure it is designed to show the maximum width of the brush tip. I'm going to move this to our feature requests section for consideration as it's more a desired feature than a bug

    Cheers

Minimum pressing force = minimum radius

Maximum pushing force = maximum radius

Random touch with minimal force, but without drawing the line (dot) = mean radius.

When you draw or retouch, every casual touch draws a healthy circle. This is not present in any other program. In AP before, too, this was not. Maybe google translate does not let me get the idea :(

  10. You can also draw a rectangle to which you apply the gradient you want.

You then transform this rectangle into a brush that you can use on a line.

    Hi m850,

To my knowledge it is not possible to apply a gradient perpendicularly to a line.

As a workaround, you can draw a thick stroke, put it in a color. Then copy this stroke and paste it on itself. Then change the color of the copy and reduce its thickness.

Then apply a "Gaussian Blur" effect to the copy until you get the desired effect.

The effect obtained is not really a gradient but may perhaps be useful in some cases.

Thank you! Then no one was, then several! :)

I understand that your advice is only for AD, in the AP so do not?

Thanks for the advice. My trial period AD ended before I had time to start the program to get acquainted with it, now I'm studying only on YouTube videos, I'm thinking whether I need this tool or not. Thanks for the advice!
