The question to the Affinity employee/manger: Are there any plans to sell AD/AP for Mac in your own store?

I don´t think, that Serif will sell Viagra :D

 

As a long Apple user, I know the spontaneously mind changing from them. When they decide to change the conditions of the MAS or something other gorgeous, awesome, fantastic, amazing thing, we are all lost. In this case - I don´t trust Apple.

Could you please provide your Mac apps in your own store?

 

Benefits:

- You can manage special prices for custumors when a major upgrade arrives. This isn´t possilbe in the MacAppStore.

- You save money. No 30% for Apple.

- Customers can buy multi platform licences.

- You can distribute updates faster. No Apple review.

I will also look for a Affinity Photo as a web version. I only will buy Affinity Photo when it will be available via web store. As Erik says - you can´t trust Apple. And I don´t want give Apple 30% of my money when I buy AP over the MacAppStore. Also updates will be reaching the user faster and for a major version maybe cheaper.

 

Affinity Team - In my opinion, you don´t need the MacAppStore. Your products are so good - you will sell AP/AD without  loosing customers. In the meantime I use Photoshop. This is also available outside the MAS.

But I will favor Affinity Photo!
