Hi, i just wanted to be able to share with the makers of this software few thoughts:
Few words about me: I am not a graphics designer, although i have been developing software for about twenty years now, and occasionally used few tools, including Inkscape and Illustrator.
I was looking around for a tool similar to Inkscape, with a smooth learning curve and able to use on both, OS X and Windows. Few users on the site i was trying to get the information, recommended me to have a look at Affinity, and spoke about it using very appreciative words. I decided to give it a try.
This is when i have seen the "Buy for MAC" or "Buy for Windows" buttons. Hmmm.. i can buy it for one platform but not use on the other ? So, if i use it for a MAC project, but have a Windows license, i need to do the graphics in Windows, move the files on MAC and test after.. That did not sound right to me, and decided to ask the company when...
Second surprise ! there is no way to contact the company !
And the cherry on top.. No trial version offered for any of the platforms.
BTW: I have seen the only email (i was able to find) in the Refund section of the FAQ - but without having any meaning to contact the company, and clarify the few things i need to clarify first, i am very reluctant to spend some money on this. And although i am sure the forums and moderators / users are very helpful, the information gathered here is not / cannot be used as a binding contract between the vendor and the buyer (myself).
Maybe that is why the company hides all the direct contact info ?
It was not my intention to offend anybody, and if i did, i do apologize. As you can assume, the email used to register here is a burner address, and not my real info - i see no reason to provide real information to those who try so hard to hide theirs.
