@MikeTO So from your question I made a new Publisher file with the same RGB selections as my Photo pictures were. Then copied the pictures over from the faded to the new Publisher file and it look so much better. If there is a better way then please let m know. But your question really helped me a lot.
-
I loaded up Photo and see the color format is RGB/8, and color profile is sRGBIEC61966-2.1 The Publisher document is color format :CYMK/8 Color Profile: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 But I never saved the original pictures. I just copied them from Photo and pasted the into a new Publisher document. I am a noob when it comes to publishing so any help is greatly appreciated.

I started an Affinity Publisher 2 document and just copied and pasted my images (work not saved) from Affinity Photo 2. They look very washed out. Doing some research the problem appears to be something with "color profile"? I don't really understand that, but my question being, is my Publisher document ruined, and I now need to start form scratch? Or is there something I can change in Publisher to save my faded images?

V3 will not be released for a long time. V1 was released in July 9, 2015. To be honest if you just got V1 then you have a world of learning to do. There is nothing in V2 that will make your pictures that much better. The secret is, that it is the artist and not the program that makes great works. That said... There will be more sales, Affinity goes on sale a few times a year. So hone your skills and when the time comes you can upgrade. I feel for you that you just bought V1, but no one is attacking you.

Affinity V2 Universal : Update Issue
Guyon replied to Guyon's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
` I think I figured this out for Photo. I hope Designer can find all my bought plugins -
I have been an Affinity user since day one, and just upgraded to Affinity V2 Universal License. I read that it would just update my V1 programs so that I would not need to reinstall all my brushes and plugins. I have waited an hour but so fast When run any of my three Affinity programs I still get V1. I did log in in with my Affinity account before purchase. Thoughts?
-
You know I thought that at first. But changed my mind. I had the use of the Affinity line for years saving a lot of money over Adobe. To be honest how much more of a discount do you want? And extra 5% an extra 10% in reality it is not that much more of a saving. PLUS with the new Universal License makes the produce even a better value. You are getting a great produce at a great value. I have no issue with them extending their generosity to others. That said, I was hoping for a light room product, and Auto trace for Designer.
-
I really do like Affinity Designer. It is my goto for almost every project, but I really miss auto Trace. It is such a time waste to do it by hand. Is Auto Trace even on the road map?

[ADe] Is there any line smoothing? (implemented)
Guyon replied to GRScott's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
Five years later and we still do not have oil paint smoothing for Affinity Photo for pre-drawn lines? I have been hoping every year for Oil Paint Filter. -
Designer Brushes Issue
Guyon replied to Guyon's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Any thoughts at all. I have tired almost everything. -
All of a sudden I developed a brush issue for Designer (vector brushes only). When I draw with any vector brush I get a generic round brush as a line. If I then reselect the intended brush (or any brush) the line looks correct. I have restarted my computer and Designer with the same result. I have also mistakenly used the advice of Edit/Preferences/miscellaneous/Reset Brushes and now lost all my downloaded brushes. Any suggestions on why my brushes do not look like what I selected until I draw, and have to reselect them? Also, this issue is the same for both mouse and pen tablet Thanks

These are really nice brushes the smoke really compare to my payed pack Thank you

Tablet Input Method ? I changed the controller to pressure, but perhaps because the program locks up I can not do the save, you requested. If the lack of saving is not the case I can try again. But if I draw to many lines it will crash my machine. -

Major crashing and memory issues with 1.8.4.693 *SOLVED
Guyon replied to Guyon's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
It seems like the beta cleared up the issue -
Both infinity Photo & Designer 1.8.4.693 work fine until I try and draw a line with my XP-Pen Drawing monitor. I get strange lines automatically being drawn all over the screen and memory usage skyrockets. This version is unusable. All other of my drawing programs work fine as well as older versions of Photo and Designer.

Where in your link does it say printed books are still outselling ebooks by 11:1? All i see is the word more.
-
Can you supply some source for the 11:1 please? Waiting till V2.0 for ebook export would be unexceptionable, since that would mean a pay update for something Patrick Connor said that APub would have this feature after it's initial release. I highly disagree with your concepet of when ebook should be introduced. If ebook is not solidly in the planning structure of the program now. It may make it very difficult or impossible to add later. Planning is key to fast solid code.
