  1. To illustrate the problem I am slowly zooming into an image, that at first appears black but suddenly changes colors, all based on the current bug, where affinity Dsigner is clearly not a WYSIWYG app what-you see-is-what-you-get, which is our reason to switch away from Photoshop here it was more subpixel problems. 2. Hi, for reviewing a vectorization I build myself an affinity setup of (layers bottom to top) pixel image error image (red pixels mark the mistakes) + a lighten live filter that makes the errors big enough to see (10px radius) a group of vector shapes In these I zoom in and out to find errors and correct them. The app is super slow, sometimes I have to wait a second or longer after a zoom. Plus when zoomed out the result is showing the errors much weaker (I would guess you are always reapplying the effect onto the full image but in the current screen space size) My solution for now is that I always duplicate and rasterize the error layer, which is of course annoying as it's a linked image that is updated the second I export the vectors for testing. Would be super cool if live images would just be applied once when the content changes, that would solve both nightmares at once. That increases the speed to be fluent again and the result is precise. All the best Christoph
  3. It was just a temporary file, I attached the simpelest Demo. 4 Squares 256x256 and pixelized 256 should be the same result but it's not. Pixelize Demo Before.afphoto Pixelize Demo After.afphoto
  4. Hi, when I use pixelize (pixelmosaic) the left pixels are shaved by half a "pixel" and half a pixel is added to the end. I attached a sample where I am pixelizing 9x640 surfaces by 320 and get 1,5 pixels for the first and 2,5 for the last: All the best Christoph
  5. Hi, I am using HEIC for everything to create extra small apps and games. Sadly with Affinity Photo and Designer this format is only partly supported. For one opening or using a HEIC file does only work if it has no alpha channel (which is one of it's strong suits as the alternative png is fully lossless and therefor huge). The main thing however is the export. I love the export of affinity products (your svg ouput is amazing guys), especially I love how I can see the size a jpeg file would have. I would love to have this for HEIC. I currently always have an extra step opening in Preview and converting the file here, where the size calculation is even broken and I have no value for the compression so I do everything just by guessing. So in short: • please support HEIC images with alpha • please support HEIC export with compression, size estimate and in a perfect world a quality preview All the best Christoph
  6. Hi, I bought a poster because I wanted to make it into a wallpaper. So I scanned it in small parts and tried to use New Panorama to create one stitched foto from it. While typically a lens has a bent picture scans are completely straight, but can have a slight rotation. So I wished there was a why to simple prevent the stitching from any lens factor parameters and only allow affine transformations position+rotation. The current result has the attached kind of edge (it's a bit hard to see how it's bent as there is due to the bending also a miss rotation going on) All the best Christoph
