    Its not a specific document. I have used jpg, but also develop raw. Try the uploaded image with some tools. I have again installed version 1.10.1 clean. First test no problem, but I had that before. The image is 72 dpi. But the same will be happen if I use a 300 dpi image. The color mode is mostly Srgb and I use several tools, like paint mixer tool or other brushes

    It looks more and more that Photo not happy is with Windows version 11 All my other programms have no problems with it only Affinity Photo???? Have downgraded to version 1.9.2 but here the same results.

    I try a normal raw picture, raw editing no problems, in develop mode, I tick only the paintbrush mixer on and Ap stopped working, killing only by Taskmanager.| I give you the dump file from Ap.exe in taskmanager. But its to big here. 1.2 gb in zip. Oke have done a another test witch normal brushes, the same, no change possibility and hangs 100%. I can't do anythings with AP.     Chris thanks, I heve try your solution, but also here the same problem, after using the paintbrush it hangs up. tastmanager say nopthing, no high cpu or gpu data. There is also no high memory used. So I ám stuck at the moment. I can only close AP by killing it tru Taskmanager.

    Well the next day, and we are back with the same problem. I could make a short video after I used the paint tool on a small picture, and here its going wrong. You can't do anything, the paint tool hangs up and nothing is select bar. The mouse was working all the time. And in this case its not specific the painttool, but every tool you choose will at any time freeze up. There are no reports found. the video was set to warp en and no hardware acceleration. brush behaviar002.wmv

    After complete re-install from Photo I can work with it without problems. Hopely this will be stay working.

    At the moment I tinking to go back to PS, because I cant use any tool in AP to work, or AP frezz 100%, ony to kill with Taskmanager. No crash reports found. Not very happy with this. Its the Nviea driver or Win11 or what it is I don; t know. Other programms are working without any problems.

    Chris, thanks for reaction. no specific on an mask. I can work on a picture, and then I want to change from tool and all is freezing up. Only thing I can do at that moment is close AP by taskmanager. Mostly I need to click twice before it close at all. I know I 'am working on Win 11 beta. Also there was a studio driver update version 12, but already before these update it was freezing. So it could win 11 ! I had before already choosen for warp rendering without OpenCL.

    Last days I face several freezing from Photo by tasks with brushes. Only by taskmanager I can stop it. I hope the dump (1.95 gb) can help to find the problem. I have no OpenCL on. I have set Photo to working in warp mode, but here the same problems. I had this week a studio update driver for the Nvidia 1050Ti gpu maby this can effect under win 11 beta. 1210978147_dumpphoto.zip

    I'am working under win 11 beta with Photo. I uses all asets to compose something. But at sometime the whole programm freeze up. There was the crashhandler into taksmanager, so I could save a dumpfile. I had to close Photo from taskmanager. crashpad_handler (3).DMP

    I have used this weekend several projects for testing Affinity Photo and designer on the new Windows 11 (beta). On my system I have no crashes or freezing moments. So that looks great. for Ap I used it with OpenCL off. This was on by Designer.

    I was working with the new version and wanted to mask some objects from layer, but nothing is happening. I could only work with the gum.. This is happening in Photo. This was shit, I see that Alpha protect was set on..... hmmm then its not working ofcourse.... So dismiss this error report. ((fixet) 1481508784_photo.exe2021_08.25-14_43_16_01.mp4

    this is Abemeda for Windows users from the same developers. I use it now one year the free version.

    I can confirm this to. I cannot use the display driver removing tool, because I have no second GPU on the system. So I have set OpenCL on hold.

    I also never remove anything before upgrade, and haven't these problems. Only that 1.10 sometimes hold, think has to do with some programs in the background.

    I had yesterday three times the problem that my project I was working on disapear at once, no warning or crash reports. this was happening I was using a frankandtoon brush where I was clicking several times behind another. The brush was very small in size. No hardware accelaration on. someone has this also? Afterwards I could started further with a a not saved backup.

    The only thing to me was happen yesyerday that with OpenCL on, the programm complett stopped after some brush work. After restart with OpenCL off the beta works perfect. Nvidia studio drivers on the newest. found no error reports. beta 1.10.0.1115

    I think we need some more information about this, system settings, photo type was there a error screen, so yes (screenshot) can help.
