Having successfully removed (albeit not being to professional standards) the 2 skips from my photo with the aid of various forum members. I now have another question. Having watched a couple of videos. I have the following situation. 1 video says pick on a common denominator in both photo's to be able to put folk into another picture. I have 2 pictures that are taken of the same house but one very much to the left to see the whole aspect and 1 practically face on. Behind the skips is a wall. The wall is not in the other picture but 'A' wall is, which is the same brickwork. If I pick up the common denominator and try to in paint then I will replace the skips I have worked hard on removing. Can I somehow replicate the good wall from picture 2 and paste it into situ. on picture 1. Any suggestions / ideas please? Thanks again in advance. Vee

I hope someone can guide me as I'm finding conflicting information and seek clarity. My AP and AD takes ages to open. I have seen postings relating to that - and I have seen postings saying after downloading the beta's there are improvement's on speed of opening. That said I did it. THEN I see a posting saying there is no need to download the beta's unless you are looking for a specific fault. I downloaded the Macros and UI goodies and attempted to load them. I have 2 readme files one refers to AP the other to AD - When I try to load the files for AP and unzip them they have AD logo's. With AD and AP when I try to import the goodies it says they are not infinity files. ????????????? I unistalled the Beta on AP and AD. Tried to import. Probably O.K. Am getting a little miffed so have not tried to use them yet. I've now got the slow loading again. Should I download the Beta's again? What do I do? Lastly - now I've decided to post again, I would like to say both negative and positive comments. I am not a negative person. I have been a loyal customer to Serif for so many years I can't remember when I bought my first package. I have bought nearly everything they have produced and ALWAYS ALWAYS by the manuals. Also I'm not in the habit of telling social media what I'm doing at any given moment. Therefore WHY oh WHY have Serif in their wisdom not supplied a help line - albeit during certain hours to enable folk to ask question's and not feel awkward about posting comments because they don't have the wealth of knowledge the good folk on the forum have? Will will get a manual. and if so when please? I am very saddened and disillusioned with you Serif. I thought better of you. That said it is worth repeating that the software is indeed very good. Thank you in advance.

I'm trying to straighten the horizon in a photo. I watched the video and thought I'd understood it. I selected the crop tool but couldn't find the straighten icon. However, I have got it now as I needed to have ticked another box - which I'v done. I got the ruler and used. All O.K. I had previously used save as. I then saved it to the new file but as soon as I saved it - it reverted to the horizon being crooked again. When I closed it and re-opened it. The horizon was still not straight. What am I not doing please? Thank you in advance. Vee

I am very new to Affinity and this forum. I hope I can explain the problem correctly. I have windows 10 as an operating system. I can open a file to edit it and have watched a video but not all of them. In my haste I feel I'm done something wrong. 1. Sometimes the in-painting tool does not respond as it doesn't come up with a color and remove objects. I then realised I was not on the correct layer, so I figured that out. 2. However, I have a photo where I need to remove a builders skip from the side of the picture. I can use the brush to remove it BUT whatever I remove - it seems to paste something else from within the photo to the position instead. e.g. I remove the wood and the skip, but end up with plants from another part of the photo and try to remove them. Then it paste's something else onto that place again, and so it goes on. My instincts are telling me I've inadvertently clicked on something like a paste/clone box somewhere in the package. Any ideas please? Vee
