  1. full ack here. I even have a webserver where I made a PHP script which essentially throws a given SVG file (which is already on the server so no user manipulation possible) right into inkscape, allowing me to insta-export anything I like in any size just by calling the proper URL.
  2. well when it seems that there's no online activation (nothing gets through my firewall until I say yes) the door to piracy already seems pretty open to me. I'll unplug my PC from the network and try to install affinity designer on it later for a dead-safe confirmation but at least for me it lools like that there were no problems, I mean, when for example a denuvo protected game crashes face-first into my firewall it will immediately try to get its data through the browser, just as example.
  3. also if the application stores its data where it lies itself (like of on a USB stick) there should be rarely any problems with write permission because you usually only have a read but not write situation in the program files folder or in network drive situations.
  4. that is sad, it would be epic to have a portable version, for example to just have it on a USB and take it along with me. which means that no admin rights are required and whatnot.
  5. Okay nice to know. While we are requesting features, it would also be epic to adjust it directly along the line, especially for rather irregular kinds of lines. But me and my boss are quite amazed by this thing and with 40€ on the sale it's also nicely priced. As soon as i get my money I'll get myself a personal license on the next best sale.
  6. I really like the Stroke pressure option but is there a way to make the window larger or zoom in for more accuracy? (Affinity Designer 1.5.1.43)
  7. got myself a copy too, certainly intresting also checked your site for the other free DLs, I cant get my Hands on the welcome pack which is according to it's description, sent to all new subscribers, but even without it the other things are intresting too. maybe I'll even get the texturizer. I've never really liked flat design so it looks certainly intresting
  8. well while it is true that you only get a use permission, you get a perpetual (aka permanent) one for affinity and even if you have to pay for newer versions it's not like you have to pay like every 2 months for a new version (affinity is about 50€ base price, adobe at about 24 per month for one piece of software) for me it's more a designer vs Illustrator thing. also if you dont like what the next version has to offer or you want to wait no one stops you.
  9. I know that but trials are simpler (maybe even for for affinity as well, I dunno if the payment procssor keeps their share after refunding) but is there some kind of plan/schedule when the trial should arrive? it was said "a few weeks" already in november, just curious
  10. too bad there isnt any trial yet especially with the launch sale close to ending for photo and with it already being ended for designer
  11. good beacause I had other software firms telling me that I would need to have a license for each os for their software, nice that affinity handles this better. I guess I'll get it when I can try a trial but sadly no trial is out for windows yet
  12. yes but does one PC with Multiple WIndows installations (for example windows 7&10) count as one seat or as multiple seats? different software is treating this seemingly quite different. some treat it as multiple and some treat this as one.
  13. yeah I read that stuff already, and if I would want to use this on a business on a shared multi-os computer would I need to get multiple Windows licenses or does one license cover all windows installations on that hardware.
  14. okay it could have been that the software comes as box or dl as the user chooses, as well as the book which could also be given as ebook, in theory
  15. is there any schedule for that? not that I would later purchase it and one month later version 2 comes out. also about the how many computers part, do multiple OSes of the same OS family on one computer (e.g. Windows 8 and windows 10 dual-booting on the same PC/Laptop) still count as "one computer" or are that two?
  16. if anything you probably wont get intercompatibility but maybe importing the old format, depending on what the new publisher would be about to do.
  17. will there be an announcement or something similar when that happens. because I am really intrested in this.
  18. well because the help has a section regarding physical orders including a list of yountries you ship to, then why do you have that section if you only sell digitally anyway?
  19. on your help page it says the following: is it the same for physical orders or does it differ there?
