In a previous post you said there are limitations on how many promo codes you can make, so you won't transfer standalone licenses to the store counterparts. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/publish/generate-promotional-codes As you can see from the link above, the only limitation is 1600 promo codes max each 6 months. Since the number all of us that does want to transfer their licenses is <<<< 1600, you should consider this

As title say i really want to switch from the standalone version to the store one. I've been one of the windows early adopters, and since i read here in the forum that there wouldn't be any windows store version i decided to purchase them at the time. Now it looks like things changed and i feel a bit pissed that there is no way to get the windows version with my actual license. A very smart and painless alternative would be to set free the windows store version and ask for a valid key/purchase one on first startup
