Hey NotMyFault,
I agree this is a bug - on desktop, selecting another tool will commit the 'Align' History entry and I would want this behaviour on iPad too. I will get it logged. Cheers

Any chance it's Monterey specific?
Well, I did see it on Sonoma initially. However, we have seen a few Monterey-specific issues lately - or at least issues have been easier to reproduce on Monterey. I will try this again in the office on Monday but can happily still log the bug.

Hey Hangman,
I've just tried to record my own video for the bug report and for some reason, it's not happening now. Well, it will only happen at extreme sizes. I'm pretty sure I got it on a standard A3 document before.
I asked Sean and he can't get it either

Hi Martin,
I can see info in EXIF Tool, however, it looks like it might be a general import issue in Affinity as it's nuking a lot of the info even on File > Open...

🫤I will update the report

Hey anto,
I do not believe this has been directly fixed by the developers. However, looking at your screenshots you seem to be using different scaling. Maybe this is preventing the issue from occurring again? There are so many variables to this.

Thanks @Maxdanger - I will get this logged for you.

I've just tried this on both Retail and Release and neither of those close when I save an edited raw file. How are you closing the file? Are you going to File > Close or clicking the X in the corner of the document tab?
Does this happen if you start from a blank document, drop some shapes and text etc. and then save? What happens if you open the .afphoto file, do some edits and then save that?
I cannot imagine it would be specific to the raw file type you're processing but it might be worth attaching a sample.

Thank you. I will update the bug report and inform the developers.

@anto Could you kindly do me a favour? Can you re-test this issue in 2.4 Release?
We've tried testing it on 3 different machines, each with a different 4k monitor and we cannot reproduce it. Going back to earlier 2.4 and 2.3 builds we can reproduce so we are assuming this got fixed in the wash.
However, because there are so many reports, I'm concerned about waking up too many threads with customers saying it isn't fixed for them.

I am looking at this in 2.4 and I'm seeking a few volunteers to re-test this in 2.4.0 Release - can you confirm if this is still an issue for you, please?

@TomJr does your Mac have the Intel Iris GPU?

Hey Frozen Death Knight
On 3/1/2024 at 3:09 PM, Frozen Death Knight said:When importing the new .png-file back into Affinity the colours are correct again with the HDR preview on. Any ideas why this is?
I assume Windows Photo Viewer doesn't support the view? The file outputs would normally be intended for something like Final Cut Pro or similar. Even Photoshop displays the HDR PNG washed out.
Have you seen James' video on this?
As for the Export Preview, It doesn't yet support a 32-bit preview. These are lossless outputs so you won't need to be zooming in looking for compression artifacts but I do think we should be showing an accurate 32-bit preview. There is probably already a log of this so I'll do some digging.

Please keep an eye on it. As I've said, there could be another recipe to reproduce this. I would very much like to get to the bottom of it if we can! Thanks

I have updated the bug report to reflect that it is still an issue in 2.4 - I'm sorry this didn't get looked at. I will try and give it some momentum.

Hey @Graphite Addict The preset of PNG or PNG Dithered should be fine. None of the HDR stuff goes out on 8bit formats so as long as you've got either of those presets selected, it should be fine. If that isn't true, we may need a copy of the file to investigate.

It looks like Comic Sans to me.
