  1. In that case, I'd kindly ask you to keep an eye out for it but I wouldn't like to assume it is definitely fixed just yet. I'm always wary about closing bug reports that haven't had any developer activity on them. Thanks for letting me know
  2. I think the tool in the example isn't being used how you would normally use it. Isn't it used for touching up small areas? When I do it for touching up, I have no issue at all with a 600px brush on a 7500 px x 5000 px document. If I scribble all over the canvas it does get slow. This is also slow on macOS with Metal Compute. I've also tried Photoshop and I can easily get that to slow down dramatically using the same size brush and canvas. I don't think this is a bug so much as pushing the app to its limit for a case that isn't really realistic.
  3. Could you upload it to this Dropbox folder for me please? https://www.dropbox.com/request/F4WjEMNpHr8CquwDJDCm
  4. Hey Bands321, I still cannot get the crash. I've tried 2 iPad's (different spec) with over 200 images in an iCloud folder. I'm just going to log this with the developers as you've provided the crash reports. They may be able to figure out what's going on.
  5. Hey iBaloo42, We've had new hardware since this bug was reported and I'm using 2x 4k monitors and I can't reproduce it in the 1.8 beta. The bug report hasn't had any activity but would you mind installing the beta alongside the retail version? You can uninstall it once you've checked. I'm only asking because you were always able to reproduce it but I'm not struggling. I did check the retail version and I can't reproduce it in that either but I think it's the hardware change we had.
  6. Hm, I suggested snapping to see if it helped when positioning everything but that is a bit worrying if you're still getting it... Are you able to do a screen recording? The screenshots are helpful but a video might allow me to catch something.
  7. Hey Nekodificador, I think this definitely looks broken. I will log it with the developers! Thank you
  8. Hey - S -, That's a fair comment and something we would look at considering in the future. I will definitely pass this feedback on—thank you Your second point is already fixed after being caught during early internal testing. Good catch though
  9. Hey virage, I've been looking this morning and I wasn't able to reproduce it. Does the issue still happen with Snapping enabled for you? I have tried it with it on and off but I'd really like to know if this still happens when you enable Snapping.
  10. Hi Bands321, I've been trying this on and off for the past week because I'm still trying to investigate the other report we had and I just cannot reproduce it. I'm using a customer file (from the other report) and I've placed JPEGs, TIFFs, PNGs—all of which are hosted on my iCloud. Are the crashes occurring when you attempt to place or generally working with the app? I wouldn't mind seeing a crash report. The next time you get it, can you do this: - Go to Settings > Privacy > Analytics > Analytics Data and look for the Photo iPad crash. Then click Share to save to an .ips file. You can then save it to a cloud service and attach it here. You can upload that video here please.
  11. Yes, this could be helpful. @taylorr52 What firewall are you using?
  12. Ah, this is a bug that has been logged with the developers. I'm not quite sure why it is happening but I'll give the bug report a nudge.
  13. Okay, that actually looks wrong. I've gone through all the others and the majority somewhat resemble the Styles thumbnail apart from Bloodpool. Night Out looks a bit different too...
  14. Hey LuizP, I've just had a thought—this could be an issue we've recently started to see regarding the application displaying an unmanaged view. Could you try the following for me: Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\ Rename the 1.0 folder to 1.1 Launch Affinity Photo This should safely reset the app and fix the unmanaged preview.
  15. Hey virage, So the reading on the context toolbar is correct, as well as the size on the Export dialog? I can't seem to get this to happen at all for me. I thought it might be a rounding issue but it doesn't seem to be. Are you using snapping along with the 'Move By Whole Pixels' and 'Force pixel alignment' settings? Can you give me the exact steps (everything you click) in case I'm going about it slightly differently?
  16. That's a good shout actually—thanks for that
  17. Hey taylorr52, This is extremely difficult to diagnose, unfortunately. I don't recall seeing anyone on Windows 10 being affected by this either. Has it ever worked? I assume you've tried rebooting the PC etc. It may also be worth trying the beta to see if that is still acting up. I'm sure I've seen posts where users on Windows 7 were saying the live version did work and the beta didn't and vice versa.
  18. Hey Mbrinman, This is because the app is switching between a high-res and low-res preview of the canvas as you move the mouse. If you go to Preferences > User Interface and turn off 'Show brush previews' you shouldn't notice this issue—though I expect turning off brush previews isn't really something most users would want to do.
  19. Hey LuizP, welcome to the Affinity Forums. Unless something changed after a software update, the app would not just change itself without a setting being modified. Could you attach a sample file so we can give this a poke, please?
  20. Hey Estoc, It probably has more to do with the brush size and its settings. All the brushes that come with the app go through a proper testing process so we can optimise them for performance and quality. If you're making a custom brush, it won't have been tested so you will need to tweak it but it sounds like you've already cracked it. The file size of the texture will have a great impact on the performance too. I'm not too sure, to be honest. We essentially need to implement something similar for Windows that we have for macOS (Metal Compute) that can drastically speed up the performance of raster brushes.
  21. Hey Sempervivum, Thanks for the images. I've tried it with the app you mentioned and it doesn't seem to have the same issue, however, I had to develop the images first as it would only accept JPEG or TIFF and not a raw image. I then tried stacking the same JPEG files and still saw the issue in Affinity. I'll pop this over to the developers for you. Thanks!
  22. Hey Sempervivum, Can you upload the source files to this Dropbox folder so we can run some comparisons, please? If you could give me a nudge once you've done it, that would be appreciated—Dropbox doesn't notify me!
  23. Hello vasflf, This is a known issue with the developers. I struggle to reproduce a crash with the Mesh Warp Tool however, I have seen it reported a number of times. I will update the bug report. If you get the crash again, can you see if there is a crash report in - %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports\reports
  24. It looks like this is already logged so I've updated the developers.
