    There's a FAQ about that:
However, you may find it necessary to create a small .bat file and have the .bat file invoke the app execution alias. Perhaps something like this:
    start /b affinityphoto2.exe %1 exit

RainerH got a reaction from PaulEC in Rectangle always with rounded corners
    Hello GarryP,
finally somebode understood what I mean. In earlier versions of Designer it worked as expected. Rectangel tool drew a rectangel and roundet rectangele tool drew a rounded rectangle. Tih must be a bug in the software.
What have we bought and payed for? A rectangle tool and a rounded rectangle tool. And what did we get? Two rectangle tools or if you change settings two roundes rectangle tools.
It's like not to get a hambburger, but either two burger buns or two Fleischpflanzerl.
    That's crazy isn's it?

RainerH got a reaction from walt.farrell in Publisher uses baseline grid even though it is disabled.
I can't post the document I'm working on, but the behavior in the attached file is the same. If I increas or decrease the gap between the object an the text, the Lines are jumping like byseline grid is activatet. When I encrease the lower gap from 1 to 2 mm, the line after the object jumps down, when I then encrease from 2 to 6 mm nothing happens. At 7 mm the 1st line jumps down to take the place of le line that was line two bevore reaching 7 mm.

RainerH got a reaction from Jon P in nearly no chance to move bodytext frames without crating child layers of other bodytext frames.
Thanks Jon P for your answer, unfortunately I can't make a video because suddenly the error doesn't appear anymore. I no longer have (probably deleted) the file in which it appeared. As soon as I encounter the problem again, I'll make a video and post it here.

RainerH got a reaction from christinavv in border aroud SVG when Exportet from a drawing with artboards
    Hello Old Bruce,
thank you for your reply. You're right, I did it so in the past when only one artboard is in a file.
But there are Designer-Files with 10, 20 or 30 Artboards f. e. to store all Pictures of a how-to-description of the setup of a full managed mobile in one designer file. So I'm able to make changes in several or all artboards and then easily export them all in the export persona and overwrite the old files. In publisher I can then update all embedded files with only some clicks. But for the CMS I need the pictures in SVG and there the boarders are shown. In the SVG there are informations about the ArtBoard. Is there a way to setup designer so that this Information isn't includet?

    Hello together,
i hope somebody can help me: I need to create SVG-Drawings for technical info and it's very helpful to use artboards in designer so I can store several drawings in one file. If I then export the artboards to SVG there's a thin border in my CMS' media box and after publishing in the presentaion mode. It appears not, when I open the SVG in Chrome but in the media box of the CMS I want to use the SVGs and then in the published data.
If I draw in designe without using artboards the thin border doesn't appear in the CMS' media box and in the publication not too.
Please have a look to the attached screenshot of my CMS' media box. On the left side you can see the SVG with artboard exportet and importet ito the media box (yellow marked boarder) and on the right side exportet from a designer file without artboards used. ((the draker grey background ist the background / canvas of my media box in the CMS. After publishing that doesn't appear, but the thin yellow marked border appears.))

    Hello Old Bruce,
you're right, tables of contents aren't that great yet. The Affinitists should really take a look at Indesign. They make really good software at Serif, but sometimes you wonder what they thought of one or the other feature. But I'm sure they'll manage that. We’re excited to see what’s coming.
    Happy new year

    Hello Walt,
thank you for your answer. I wrote that wrong (my english ist not so good). I have not Pictures or Tables in the Table of contents. I meant the table of contents of the pictures ans tables in my document. But read later.
Unfortunately, I am unable to post the document because it is a scientific paper with confidential content. Now I'm ready with
Now I've finished it - with a few workarounds - and it looks pretty good. But this afternoon I was really annoyed.
Overall, I come to the conclusion that publisher has not quite gotten to Indesign yet, but not much is missing.
Tables of contents in particular are terrible. I had three tables of contents:
    1. The main table of contents (1. / 2. / 2.1 / 2.2 / 2.2.1 / 2.2.1.1 etc.) with four levels of text styles
    2. The list of figures, which was created as numbered text styles (Pic. 1 .... / Pic. 2 .... / Pic. 3 .... / etc.) and whose table of contents formed the list of figures.
    3. The list of tables was also created as numbered text styles (Tab. 1 ... / Tab. 2 ... / Tab. 3 ... / etc.) and its table of contents formed the list of tables.
After every update of the table of contents, the previously laboriously formatted text styles were completely mixed up again. In addition, with the same settings for two text styles it is not possible to get the same visual result. The spaces before and after the paragraph seem to be arbitrary.
I think I'll have to experiment a little more with a dummy document.
What is definitely nonsense is that you have to click in the table of contents in order to edit your text style. That means you always have to remember to have the cursor on the type of entry whose text style you want to edit. So it isn'T possible to create TOC-Textstyles for a template that you can use for several documents. As long as there is no table of contents, no text style can be created for it. And it looks like no text style from the document can be used for a table of contents entry. But let me try it first, I might just use it wrongly.

    Hello Walt,
thank you for your help. I think I'have to look for the glyphes this would be the most consistent solusion.
I've read many posts of you and I'm glad that we have you as a publisher expert in the forum. My change from Indesign to Publisher is too young but when I'm an expert too maybe I can help others to give the forum back what I get from it by now.
Best regards, and best whishes for Christmas and the new year.

That doesn't really matter it's only a little bit of shame (are these the correct words?) because I think in the near future it would be more and more interesting to distribute information in both ways - printed and for slim displays.

I can't understand why a feature, that's includet in Publisher isn't available in Designer and vice versa? To draw a Object an then create a text-Object an put it over the 1st object is 20 century technology (or earlier). All other Vector Grafic Programms are able to edit Textframe and includet text separatly. When Serif was developping Designer haven't they never thougt about this essential feature?

    Hello G13RL,
thank you for the description. That is very easy to use. When I for example want to create a document with colours that are specified, I only must create some objects, give them the colour specitications that are predefined and then create a palette for this document or as an aplication palette to use this colours in future documents.
And i learned that my "colour fields" in correct  english are "swatches" that'S right?
