No news here yet, sorry. There's an improvement request logged for this which i've bumped again but no eta.

As far as I can see it this is the only missing feature which holds our department back from switching from photoshop cc to affinity photo since it is an essential topic here.
I always thought that clipping paths are essential in photo retouching - correct me please if I'm wrong.
So, is there an update or estimation to this? Thanks in advance.

Hi silvioch,
There wasn't progress here i'm afraid. Affinity Photo is till not able to import Photoshop clipping paths if stored in the Paths panel, sorry. I've bumped the request/log to bring it up to devs attention.

Almost 3 years later...
Is there still no solution?
I have thousands of PSD documents with clipping paths created in Photoshop. If I open these files in Affinity Photo, the path is missing.

Thank you for your fast reply.
It's a pity that this is not possible without Photoshop. Because if I have to use Photoshop for this, then I can stay using Photoshop.
My idea was to move from Photoshop to Affinity Photo.
I think the workflow with clipping paths is very common for publishers of brochures, flyers, catalogs...
So when can we expect this feature in Affinity Photo?

The clipping path was created with Photoshop.
And I would like to open the PSD file with Affinity Photo. (see also my more detailed description at the top of this thread)
