AD and AP need advanced selection methods for items like PS/AI have. Ex: Select by same fill, same appearance, same font etc. + some quick way to navigate to the selected item in the layers panel. 
 
More shortcuts or customisable ones?
 
Both apps are getting better and better but the attention to the small details is what is very important to power users.

To expand on what Ronny said … perhaps you could improve order consistency between the menus … and would you *please* consider inserting dividers between the "functional" blocks of menu items, particularly in the blend mode menu?
 
All this is easily done and would greatly improve the user experience (the same applies to Affinity Designer as well) …  :)

Yes. I think at least 4 sample points should be available to be locked and referenced for color correction. I have not seen this necessary functionality either.

This is similar how SketchUp extend geometry key points and lines/axis (references) to help place new points (in relation to them). It's very useful for technical drawing and more. I think Ben have already some ideas for this as an improvement to the Snapping system. If you take a look at the Snapping options in the Snapping Manager there's already entries there that point to Snap to construction lines and Project on axis, but they are still greyed out because they weren't implemented yet. You can expect some changes here for sure.

Corner Tool is a misnomer.
 
And grossly undersells this feature and its functionality 
 
This is Live Chamfering, Filleting and Scalloping.
 
It's the killer feature this app needed. And then some.
This is three incredible tools, all Live and Dynamic:
 
Fillet = Convex arcing of Nodes
Chamfer = Direct... well, chamfering
Scallop = Concave arcing of Nodes
 
Each of these deserves their own consideration as a tool in their own right.
 
And not least because their functionality is retained after/whilst permitting subsequent editing of the path segments between themselves and their adjoining Nodes. That is FUCKING AWESOME.
 
And they therefore deserve and should enjoy their own shortcuts and name recognition. These are the features that will shout the name of this app around the world, and define it as different and functionally superior for curve editing than all rivals.
 
Considering these are optional (or alternative) editing abilities for anything made of Nodes, I think:
 
[option + F]  =   Fillet
[option + C]  =   Chamfer
[option + S]  =   Scallop
  All easily reachable without Ninja-Finger-Dexterity.

But what about Conversions, I hear you ask, between these various types of Node editing?
Simple, if a Node that's been impacted by any one of these types of Live edits is selected, then simply pressing above shortcuts converts to that type.

You're using Render/Bake incorrectly, too.
 
This process is the Refinement of the curve, to its reduced expression of simply Nodes. Therefore = Refine Node, Refine Nodes, Refine Shape.

So ...
 
[option + R] = Refine 
 
...and would act on whatever the current selection is, whether that's a Node, several Nodes or an entire object with Nodes currently subject to live editing with any combination of these fantastic tools.
 
This option should also be in the Right Click Context Menu for the current selection of Node(s)/Shape(s)
 
And, if I may be so bold, I'd like to suggest two more tools in this genre:
 
A Stepped Scallop. It's a straight edged Scallop to the centre of the circle that's defining the radius of the Scallop. Want to make this fancy? Provide stepping values, so it can be more than just one equidistant cut/step between the radius contacts with the edges. //conversely (what a PUN!) the Chamfer can be stepped in values, also.
 
Paired Node Addition. This is the same process as chamfering, without making the cut, and leaves the original Node in place. So the radius adjustment adds two nodes where they'd be placed for a Chamfer without making removing anything, just adding the two extra nodes. Then the user can do subsequent custom editing safe in the knowledge their new Nodes are equidistant from the source Node.
 
And that's it... you've got the ideal quintet of vertex editing. 
 
Oops, I mean. ¡Node Editing!!!

This is one of the most important reasons I have switched to Affinity, the community interaction and developer feedback is truly unique. Even when features are rejected, they make a concerted effort to explain exactly why, though thankfully in this case it has been approved :)

I feel that what's partly at work here is a something-for-nothing mentality which has been cultivated in party, frankly, by Apple itself..Apple "throws in" all kinds of great apps, either for free or for a ridiculously low price. and they aren't just any old apps, but well-formed, well-behaved software tools that let you do amazing things. It makes sense for Apple to do this because it helps build their brand (world's most valuable company ain't too shabby) and it helps them sell computers. That is a smart, shrewd move.
 
Over my career, I've taken a chance on a lot of software tools which were, let's call them "rogue*" in the sense that they were trying to break into a market dominated by established and wealthy companies. These rogue developers try to change the game table by offering something very compelling, namely, professional results and tools, fraction of the cost.
 
I have never seen such "rogue" software as mature and well-formed right out of the starting gate as these Affinity tools are. And they aren't merely aping what the big dogs do, they are inventing new ways of approaching our art and craft, and this simply does not come out of a bottle. It takes smarts, vision, and elbow grease.
 
And I for one feel that deserves to be compensated and am happy to pay these, IMO, very modest software prices in exchange for how miraculous this software is.

But, why need to check that box to specify what kind of units should be used? If I enter % as a unit inside the radius input, it should be able to detect it's a relative unit. Else, all other supported units are absolute.

Wait a minute, you can do that in Illustrator now?

A graduated scale would be for text sizes (and leading) what swatches are for colours.
 
Ideally, you could specify several scales and choose the one that's right for your current project.

As for the leading, either associate a specific leading with a type size or, even better, link them with a factor (as in multiplication). For example, when I use my extended Fibonacci scale, I usually use the next number as the leading (13/16, 26/34, and so on). If I could enter 1,3 I wouldn't no longer have to specify leadings.

I completely agree with ronnyb. In-/decreasing text size in percentage doesn't make much sense. Points are the way to go.
 
If you're targeting professionals, then the Leading pop-up should indeed be “Exactly” by default. But then again, once you set it to “Exactly”, it stays like that, which is fine for me – until you create a new document. If it could just keep staying on “Exactly”, all would be well.

And another thing: In the OS X “Fonts”-Panel, you can “Edit sizes” – which is great. I always work with a specific range of sizes (e.g. 6, 8, 10, 13, 16, 21, 26, 34, etc.) for a project and almost never with the one provided by the application. What I want to say is: let me define my own set of sizes, or, perhaps as an option, use the one I defined in the OS X panel.

Would be great to have a way such as in Photoshop where you click and hold on one layers visibility icon and then drag up or down onto other layers icons to turn them on and off also. At the moment I believe you need to turn each layer on / off individually. Equally an option click on current layer to turn everything except that layer off / back to current state would also be nice if it doesn't already exist?

By the way, I recommend the amazing classic on type, The Elements of Typographic Style. This book is PACKED with typographic genius which could be integrated as features, aids and tools for AD but more importantly APublisher... Definitely a must have reference and read for the serious typographer and developer.

I love being able to click and drag on the canvas and set the size of the type before typing or pasting copy. However, I hate the odd point sizes it creates. Can you make the default behavior be to only set type using WHOLE point sizes, unless holding down a modifier key, which overrides this "unit snapping" and restores the current behavior.
 
Version 2.0: A preference for setting up a graduated unit scale, so that type only sets in user-defined sizes: 4pt, 5pt, 6pt, 7pt, 8pt, 10pt, 12pt, 14pt, 18pt, 21pt, 24pt, etc... These could be based on natural typography scales...

Having lived though the "dark times" of the Mac (around the late '90s), I cannot count the times the Mac (and Apple) were left for dead and the heralds of doom and "don't trust Apple" crowd were proven wrong.
 
The OP seems to be just stirring up a bunch of FUD* and, IMHO, has absolutely no place in this forum. It's a distraction and a bit of ephemera to entertain me over a bout of insomnia.
